Actually the elemental order with the final boss is simply to get the "best" ending so to speak. It's a pain in the *** as the boss almost always screws up your elemental order.

Is there a dialogue with someone that'll at least hint to it like, "Air must be lit ablaze before the lightning crashes and strikes the earth producing water," or something along those lines?

You know, it's wishful thinking as Squeenix already has done a *** of remakes of older FFs for various handhelds including GBA and PSP, but I really hope they get a chance to do at least 4-6 on the 3DS.
Words could not describe how happy I'd be to play FF6 on the 3DS rather than using a GBA/SNES emulator on my phone. Pirated ROMs tend to have funky/faulty audio too :/

Yellow > Red > Green > Blue > Black > White > Chrono Cross

I wouldn't call this a spoiler as most of this depends on very subtle details and your keen observation skills. Frankly if it weren't for silly gamer magazines I read when I was little I would have never found this out.

Never directly, but the order you kill the final blah bluiddy blah dragon robots in Terra Tower are a subtle hint.

I think pritty much everyone in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim shares that common ancestor.

That's an amazing song in it's own right, but it kind of makes me rage too because Miguel was so damned hard. I must have fought him an agonizing 20+ times. I won by sheer luck too I think.
