I recently watched them through again and, IMO, they are awful. They were heavily criticized in era for oddities Lucas thought were good - like midichlorians, Jar Jar, Anakin being creepy, and cornball dialogue. Most of those still stand IMO despite some good performances and segments.

It's a sensible story, I'll give it that, he at least had a plan from start to finish, but some of the themes, dialogue, and characters are just awful by most standards. I know they've recently gained more acceptance but I have a hard time seeing past some of the awful dialogue especially compared to actually good content. It's propped up by the performances and few good moments, but it's hard to get past just how cheesy and out of place some of it is.

What about FO3 and the million other entries? (I never played FO and know nothing about it)

I planned to skip FO3 due to my long *** never ending backlog but I am too ashamed to admit it ;(

I played FO shelter years ago I think.

FO4 got my attention above FO3 because I heard this entry is one game that drastically changed design direction, such as toned down rpg element and more "game-y element".

And I want to see what they did to this series in their newest entry by trying to be different. Good or bad.

Also I liked brighter and cleaner graphics style in FO4 more than FO3 & FONV.

I don't have plans to play FO76 due to online requirement.

The prequels are terrible, they appear better today because modern media is so insanely bad by comparison but compared to the originals they are still slop.

Ropey cgi effects that look like *** today, stupid ideas like midichlorians (purely invented to dissuade people away from the idea the force was a religion, even though that was a cooler idea), awful acting (especially the kid), JarJar Binks, terrible fixation on lightsabers to the point of comedy.

The first one was and still is the best one.

Fallout 3: New Vegas is by far the best entry in the series, with the best story and world design.

If you only play one fallout, play that one.

I place FO4 below both FO3 and FO3 New Vegas.

New Vegas is also the subject of season 2 of the TV show.

I've heard many people said that. The problem is, most people who liked FONV are also people who liked FO2, but I am kind of player who absolutely dislike FO2 lol.

(I liked FO1 slightly more than FO2 btw, but not that much higher.)

So I feel my personal preference is going to be vastly different from majority of FO community lol.

I think most FO players play for "role-playing" elements. So non-linear quests, massive dialogue trees, tons of decisions and consequences. That's what FO 1&2 was.

On the other hand, what I enjoyed in FO the most is the post apocalypse theme and tech. I enjoyed fighting with all those cool guns, cool power armor, getting powerful loot after killing an enemy, and side or fight those cool races. I don't particularly enjoyed non-linear style questing but I enjoyed the "fight in the wasteland with cool tech" gameplay.

That's why I enjoyed FOT(a combat focused linear game with no dialogue trees) way more than FO2.

From this perspective, I feel FO4's design direction is slightly closer to what I look for, and FONV's design direction is for people more into FO2. Because I am really just looking for a streamlined gameplay with wasteland aesthetic in it.

Personally I would say FO1 has one of the best video game main villain of all time. 30+ years of video gaming I haven't encounter another villain that give me such a strong impression.

From this aspect, FO1 does have a very special place in my mind.

Some stories just need to be experienced.

If you don't like New Vegas within the first 1-2 hours, you won't like it at all.

I agree with what you said, but the story is worth playing regardless what choices you make or even if you don't care for the RPG elements.

Hmmm... It tastes even seeter.

Looking now, kinda sad how few manga authors can even try to diverge just a little bit from the happy path.

For example, a relationship between a teacher and student, where the student is almost repeating the year, and that could potentially separate the couple.

The student is in his extra classes, and need good score in the extra exam to not drop out.

An interesting sequence would be the guy actually failing the exams, and having the relationship strength being tested.

But no.

It is a lazy and coward author. Obviously the student would pass the exam, and their relationship keep going as if the risk of being separated never existed.

Idk, supposelly authors want to make their story interesting. So why not challenging it?

I guess like any real work that have many workers thare are ok just standing there and doing the bare minimum, there also average mangakas, that are fine just drawing whatever, grabbing the most cliche plot ever, have a mid sized serie and that is it.

There is something so lazy about mangas where they only need to introduce the “new” element right off bat. The follow up dont need any innovation. This story for example, they dropped the setup of student teacher romance, what is slightly different from the average story of that genre, but that is it.

The serie goes on and on, and they barely even scratch the challenges and potential this setup could provide.

The romance is well hidden, so they dont face social criticism. The internal moral conflicts is dealt by simply not going further in their physical relationship. There is no love rival in neither the boy and the woman generic challenges are quickly and nicely dealt by them, like the above mentioned exam challenge.

In the end, I guess it doesnt take that much to live as a mangaka. We constantly hear about how “challenging” and “competitive” is the manga market, but a chatgpt story, with student skills in drawing is enough to give a 7 volume series to the author.

I suppose there is the competition, but like in many fields, competing doesnt mean there is a high level competition.

The camera was recording. The chick was casually checking cellphone, she sit in a bench, then suddenly she fall behind.

Sudden illness is too enigmatic disease to tell the culprits, but indeed it does seems sudden as she not even for a second seemed like in pain.

My suspicion is about chemicals taken. I do notice too many chicks having a too OP body. I know there is a teacher that practices at same gym as me, she seriously do 1h long anaerobic workout, then close to hour of aerobics, and still she is none close to the extremelly curvy hot chicks I see here.

It's 2025 in a 23 y/o game on maintenance mode. The devs decide to give everyone a free ultimate weapon as a nice gesture to enjoy whatever is left of their stay.
