You're right, girls don't need guys. What I meant was, sometimes guys are the same way. There's just nothing wrong with taking the first steps. The whole stalker situation can happen no matter what. Sucks for you friend though, lol. They should make an alternate forever alone face.

Sucks for you friend though, lol. I can honestly say the situations where the effort/reward ratio in a LDR is usually heavily sided towards effort, and there's little to no reward. I'm not saying this is always true (obviously I'm in one where this is not the case), but it is the most likely scenario. Plus just because Nightfyre is amazing doesn't necessarily we'll do well living together. Because of the circumstances, that's not going to happen for a while, so it's possible for me to be wasting all this time and effort on someone I couldn't even live with(this is an example I'm pretty sure we'd do fine D:<).

However, that can happen even if you knew them in person first and lived 5 minutes away from them. Nothing lasts forever, but it doesn't hurt to go out on a limb and try something out.
