If Tesla thinks that their trucks require bullletproof windows and sledgehammer resistant doors/siding/whatever, then they are doing it wrong.

Trucks are made to haul ***. Sometimes people get a truck for a status symbol, but those idiots live in places like California and New York, where your way of life doesn't revolve around hauling tools/equipment/hay from one location to another.

Hell, I live in South Texas, I don't have a truck because I don't need one. They are expensive, not fuel efficient, and what I would use a vehicle for, I can use an SUV or just a regular car for.

Nearly everyone I see uses a truck as a truck. Sure, some people get trucks for status symbols, but even then, eventually they would use it for what it is intended for, which is to haul stuff.

Anyone who buys a truck for status should just buy a Corvette and be done with it.
