You can try online dating, takes the weird in person meeting feelings away, then you can get to know their personality before hand.

I'd try online dating IF I COULD FIND A GAMER OTAKU =< that's older than 18 and one that's not bitchy =< edit: 18's still pushing it tho. I heard online dating sites are full of crazy people.
