naa, they got to poop one of these movies every so often or they loose the licensing ? Hopefully that won't be the case anymore since now it's under Marvel Studios/Disney.
Venom was pretty good. Little sad that it's not tied in with Spider-man and makes me worried for what's going to happen after Sony's deal with Marvel is up (I think they have 1 more Spider-man appearance in MCU before they take off?).

Well there's 3 routes.
1) They stick with MCU which means we keep current Spider-man and they'd likely need to make a new venom to go with or omit him completely.
2) They leave the MCU and I believe then would need to make new Spider-mans if they want to be in the correct universe with current Venom.
3) Venom remains standalone.

Anyone seen or like Venom? We liked it a lot. Post Credit scene was good too. It was ok but not really a venom movie. If going that style should've just used a different character names and be a random symbiote movie

If going that style should've just used a different character names and be a random symbiote movie They should have made it about Carnage instead. and made it into a horror movie since his first host was a serial killer. Would be a little weird not to have venom first unless they also retcon his origin more than they did Venom.
Thing is Venom should 100% be R and Carnage should be probably be borderline NC-17 (but is going to be PG-13 again). And while it was generally panned by critics and did very meh domestically the schmucks don't care because thanks to China international market now makes up largely and larger portion of the box office than ever (which is also why it's super unfair to compare box office of movies now to ones even just several years ago) and if you have no prior knowledge it was very ok film and they are still under the impression that R rated movies can't do great

I would say its between 1 and 3, I don't see them making multiple live action Spidermans. I think they are going to streamline the Fox entities to fit into the MCU, and cut out the unwanted crap, aka Fantastic Four, and most likely the current Venom. X-men is the prize in the Fox acquisition, that's getting a reboot for sure. Better cast Wolverine and Xavier correctly.
