But nah srsly besides her being the most attractive woman in the world to me I really like her voice and style, mainstream or not. In fairness I don't think it's fair to automatically tag an artist as mainstream the minute they hit the big time, she is pretty original as far as female artists go.
banned from the Straight thread for saying "I stay the hell away from the LGBT thread"
great job mods
Some of the nicest people around here post there regularly.
what does that have to do with anything?
I never insulted anyone or anything
that is the insulting part. look from both sides and ya might see it. some of the community might see that as insulting to them and those like em. and im sure krizz and other mods whould agree
Without sounding too much like a hipster, I'll do my best to explain why "mainstream" is frowned upon in some respects.
Though the problem itself is not being or becoming mainstream, but rather the perspective it puts on the artist and their future outlook on what they do as an artist. The problem in general lies within the music industry and artists that rather than doing their own form of self expression have this desire to be desired which then creates this domino effect of being sucked into this social demand of having them do whatever it is that is trendy and thus profitable over the natural process of creating music for themselves and moving on afterwards onto other challenges or points of view.
Maynard explains it a lot better than I do, though his example pertains specifically to rock/metal music, I think it really speaks in volumes on behalf of the entire music industry in general and the artists therein, regardless of genre.
I think some people are just too sensitive. Yes the comment could be seen as being in bad taste, but it seems a bit excessive. Just my opinion.
Yeah. I mean it may not be the most appropriate thing to post, but bad taste really isn't grounds for a ban on any level IMO.
If anything just remove the post and say "Hey, that wasn't cool."
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
