Would sectional mods be a possible thing? Have a mod who can do bans in only one section but nowhere else, and only topic bans?

I randomly mentioned it once, that I would gladly moderate the new P&R section, but wouldn't want (nor would anyone else want it) to moderate the entire forums. I don't have a particular interest in much of what goes on in there and I am for the most part politically uninformed/neutral, I would mostly crack down on personal attacks. I think you guys are too soft on them about that, maybe they aren't reporting it either though, I don't know. What I do know is that occasionally I like to look at the discussion going on in there, but have to backread 4 pages of name calling and poopoo throwing to get to any discussion.

We definitely don't get a lot of reports but when we do it's mainly a report from another thread of something pointless.
Speaking of technical difficulties, is there a reason why you can't undo a +/- on comments like we can on forums? I just hit - by mistake when I wanted to give a + and now I don't know what to think of my whole life anymore.

Those are the posters who only pop in every now and then. Most of the time, between the usual suspects, we generally have a constructive conversation going. Then, ***get's flung by somebody who doesn't post in that section often and the whole forum goes to hell.
