Woo, I'm stuck watching the kiddos while their mom takes care of getting their insurance reinstated.

I much prefer the older kids.

I find kids pretty boring to play with until they can at least speak reasonably well. When my niece speaks it still sounds like gibberish to me but apparently my sister can understand her lol

Nice cops? More like cops that didn't do their job. People who get away with this ***eventually do it again especially with the mentality that equates to nothing short of self absorbtion in that they only seem to care they they didn't get the DUI.

Why he isn't disgusted with himself for making such a poor choice is the real mystery. It's all fun and games til you run your car into a tree or better yet run someone over...

Yeah, that's how it's going with my nephew. All I hear from him is "Eeee eeee eeeeeee!" and yet my brother's wife is able to get that he's saying that he prefers existentialism. And then she's like, "How do you not hear that?"

Also, apparently he found a marker that I didn't know about. Now he's covered in washable ink.

Was talking with a member of the county Sheriff's dept. a while back about DUIs (they are our security where I work). Here, if you are pulled over on the side of the road completely on the shoulder and your keys aren't in accessible reach to you (best place is the trunk), you can't get a DUI if a cop comes by and decides to test you. (Sobriety test, not breathalyzer because those aren't necessarily a good basis (something about one person at 1.05 could be better off than another at 0.06)).

Multiple ones have told me this and they crack down hard on drinking and driving here. Now if you get belligerent and start being a total *** towards them, that's another story.

Just got the call from the place I interviewed at the last couple weeks.

You act like I'm not. Am I stupidly glad I didn't get a damn DUI? Yes that's natural. But I made one of the poorest life decisions ever and could have killed myself or worse, others. I was fully prepared to be ticketed or taken somewhere worse than a hotel, but I had at least realized some of my idiocy and been pulled over to the side of the road, I hadn't moved far and honestly wasn't planning on moving any further in that condition. I told the cops this, I was entirely honest on how much I had drank, what I was doing, and exactly what I expected them to do. At that point it came down to the matter that I first and foremost needed to get myself off the side of the road, my lesson was already learned and I was complying/answering questions fine. Did they fail to do their job of ticketing me and possibly teaching me an even harsher lesson, yes I suppose they did, but another part of their job is to make sure people are safe, that includes myself and the other drivers on the road, and they did that just fine without needing to take my money.

As for everyone else, I apologize for the let down. There's not much else I can say at the moment.

I paid $25 for it and some other stuff. Haven't downloaded it yet...


Spath some people forget that even with the harsh system that's in place a lot of people don't change their habits and typically get several DUI's. You got lucky, and found officers who put safety above quota, and all I can say is to not waste it.

From your little story you showed only relief that you weren't ticketed which made you the "luckiest SOB ever". You even made light of the situation by saying "(best part of this was hearing the two cops talking and one of them saying "I'm not taking him home!")"

You talk now like you pulled over out of some realization that what you were doing was *** up when in your original story you made it seem like it was all about you having to throw up which lead them to finding you on the side of the road...

We will find out if your lesson has been learned or not... Usually when people find out there are no consequences to their actions they are easily repeated...

Hopefully next time you should think to yourself... "Hey I'm driving 40 minutes away from my house to get hammered out of my mind... maybe I should find a place to crash that night or make plans ahead of time"

The fact that you're defensive about this at all tells me you haven't learned your lesson but time will tell.
