some of the major updates/expansions early on were rushed, and that's what one gets.

With the consistent updates anymore, I'm amazed the game functions.

My problem is just the severe lag in areas with nothing going on, to even dropping like a frame every second.

Now lately, just opening the menu will lock up and crash the game. So I don't know if I am in a party if the game will just lock up for no reason.

I do think that FFXI is just doing so much that the PS2 can't handle it anymore. I just feel that why couldn't they have a download of the game for PS3 owners that would have a patch to run it. I mean...you need the internet to play it anyway. <(O.o)>
I haven't turned my XI PS2 online since the reinstall fiasco a few years ago, so couldn't say if I'm experiencing the same or not.

Yeah, I have it on PS2 and Xbox 360.

I did have a digital download I paid for years ago on PC, it was for my netbook so I could do bazaars since you can close the netbook and it would stay logged on and active even in a suspended mode.

Sadly, Gamestop got rid of the game and I can't find the company I purchased that download since it was with the Abys and an actual legit copy. So there you go, I lost money on Xbox d/l games and now this, starting to think that even if I purchased digital content that maybe a backup DVD to be sent out would be a good idea.
I mean if you need the install files, pm me.

Actually on Fridays on NHK they are reshowing that anime.
Prior to and during my stay, I never knew that anime existed.

On my last day there, as I was waiting for the time to leave, I was flipping channels and happen to see this anime.

At first I couldn't believe it. Then I thought evil thoughts, thinking that if I told my sister about this, she would get really pissed (she loved the books and movies). So, first thing I told her when I got back to Texas was about this anime.

She got pissed.

Twas a great day, although exhausting.
