Good ***, 12k dpi, adjustable weight system, and the fine tuning for the sensor.

So excited, been using http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/ for the past few weeks using her/his new BiS solver. As some of you might know I was working on one myself but it was limited. I could compare 2 sets of 13, (26 items total), for a total of 8,192 set combinations. At 3 sets of 13 that would be 1,594,323 combinations, which was a bit too much for my laptop to do in any reasonable speed.

At the moment, for Ariyala.com, I'm comparing:

Weapon
Artemis Bow Atma
Wave Bow
Allagan Composite Bow
Tidal Wave Bow
Weathered Rosenbogen
Artemis Bow Animus
Rosenbogen

Head
Bard's Chapeau
Allagan Visor of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Coif

Chest
Bard's Shirt
Allagan Cuirass of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Tabard

Hands
Bard's Ringbands
Allagan Gauntlets of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Bracers
High Allagan Gloves of Aiming

Waist
Hero's Belt of Aiming
Allagan Tassets of Aiming
Saurian Belt of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Sash
High Allagan Belt of Aiming

Legs
Bard's Tights
Allagan Trousers of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Brais
High Allagan Breeches of Aiming

Feet
Bard's Sandals
Allagan Sollerets of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Boots

Neck
Hero's Necklace of Aiming
Allagan Choker of Aiming
Ribbon of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Choker

Ears
Tremor Earrings of Aiming
Hero's Earrings of Aiming
Allagan Earrings of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Earrings
Auroral Earrings
High Allagan Earrings of Aiming

Wrist
Inferno Bangle of Aiming
Hero's Bracelet of Aiming
Allagan Bracelets of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Wristlets
High Allagan Bracelets of Aiming

Ring Left
Vortex Ring of Aiming
Hero's Ring of Aiming
Allagan Ring of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Ring

Ring Right
Vortex Ring of Aiming
Hero's Ring of Aiming
Allagan Ring of Aiming
Weathered Auroral Ring

Food
Buttons in a Blanket
Black Truffle Risotto
Deviled Eggs
Apkallu Omelette
Stuffed Cabbage
Lava Toad Legs
Steamed Catfish

That's 203,212,800 set combinations. The site can handle a few million set combinations almost instantly quite easily, for 203 million it takes a few min. I left in redundant options on purpose just to test it.

I'm fully impressed. It's the calculator I wanted, and the calculator I tried to make but due to my limited knowledge of programming I couldn't do what I wanted to do. The calculator is 100% accurate based off the stat weights you give it, as well as the minimum value for each stat. Just based off of the default stat weights provided by the site, testing for zero accuracy content, this is the result I got (which is the same result my own calculator that I made gives me, if I cross test enough variables and filter out options to reduce the test load):

Rosenbogen
Bard's Chapeau
Weathered Auroral Tabard
High Allagan Gloves of Aiming
High Allagan Belt of Aiming
High Allagan Breeches of Aiming
Allagan Sollerets of Aiming
Ribbon of Aiming
Auroral Earrings
High Allagan Bracelets of Aiming
Vortex Ring of Aiming
Hero's Ring of Aiming
Apkallu Omelette

The best part about this site, is that you can customize your inventory and search for what you actually own. Having a calculator telling you that these items are best doesn't do you any good if you don't own the items. I even have a few bows I don't own just to see if they would be worth the effort in getting.

The site was "okay" before. I honestly hated it with a passion because it wasted such an opportunity. To me, it wasn't a real calculator. It was just a stat result thing for items you select and it adds up the stats to give you a total. To me that wasn't a calculator, at least the calculator I didn't need.

With the BiS solver, it truly is a calculator now. I tried to make this on my own because I was tired of no one having one available for the public, but with my own limited knowledge I couldn't successfully build one myself without it being limited. It was extremely complex to build, and I loved my calculator and all the work I put into it, but I'm okay with Ariyala taking the site to the next level and making it extremely useful to all players.

The only thing people need to know is that the stat weights aren't going to be perfect. By their own nature and purpose, they are situational. You increase or decrease the weights based on your preference and needs, and based on the numbers you give it, you'll get results based on the gear you currently own or are checking against. That is what I wanted and needed, that's what I was trying to make myself but this really makes me happy.

So excited <3

The site has it, I just didn't add it to my "inventory". The site allows for custom materia and infusions for your inventory, and the BiS Solver uses your custom armor for it's calculations.

8k dpi seems to suit my needs pretty well, but I wouldn't be against learning to use 12k dpi accurately and whatnot.

I WANNA GO FROM HAVING TO MOVE MY MOUSE 1/2 INCH TO GET IT ACROSS THE SCREEN TO 1/4 INCH! OR LESS!

I actually enjoyed the time I spent in-game before Abyssea, you got to know so many people a lot better than after that just because you had to spend so much time with them to level up lol. Same with events and quests/missions.

I even enjoyed leveling most of the time. Hell, I had fun just running around Dunes or Qufim helping random low levels.
