Volkom: So you want a realistic down-to-earth movie that's completely off the wall and swarming with magic robots?
lol.
I think my baseline for what is considered a decent movie would be
"The 13th Warrior"
Its a simple decent story and the fighting is realistic.
For me, a movie that would be amazing would have to be at least as good or better is "Inception".
But i think I can only use my system from like 1999 to present day because many of the movies that came out in the 70s,80s and early 90s had really good stories. ie: blade runner, star wars, indiana jones, kagemusha, glory etc...although some of the acting is kinda cheesy, the concept behind the movie is really interesting.
Now days all the movies I see, seem the be revamped versions/reboots of something that was good/bad before. Movies based on teen romance/fantasy books Or movies based on old stories with a unique twist that just fall short of my expectations.
For example. 47 ronin, disney live action reboots: specifically Oz and Alice in Wonderland, Divergent, robocop, transformers etc...
iono...feels like out of the 100 movies that come out every year, only 1 is really worth watching, the rest are just entertaining/money waste fillers to get you through the year.
All I can say is the movies I want to see this year are:
godzilla, x-men, maleficent, a million ways to die in the west, edge of tomorrow, transformers 4, earth to echo, hercules, guardians of the galaxy, expendables 3, sin city, the maze runner, the equalizer, interstellar, hunger games, exodus, and the hobbit 3
But to really answer your question Josiah, I really want a 2.5 hour long Bleach anime movie with the focus on Yoruichi, specifically as prequel to the bleach series followed by the return of the anime series then another 2.5 hour long series end movie that brings everything together so I can have closure once the entire thing is done with. And if that involves going completely off the wall with swarming magical robots, so be it.
