Dang Art. :-( Can you talk to you landlord? Maybe he can do something about it. That really sucks.
Already had a talk with the leasing office. We're okay for January, but breaking the lease which appears to be inevitable since my fools for room mates declared they can't afford to live here (with or without me) and have plans on leaving for Arizona by February.
So we're all pretty much screwed with this gigantic severance fee, which completely destroys my plans on moving into a new place anytime soon... The disappointment and anger is only magnified because I had my buddy making plans to move in with me too. So I don't even know how this is going to work out now.
The only silver lining to this is, the leasing office has only a static fee for breaking the lease while other places usually oblige you to pay rent for the remaining months of rent til the lease expires (which would have been til the end of May 3700<5100). Also, breaking off the lease, while not good for credit will certainly be less enfeebling than an eviction on record.
