I think I just broke my friend's brain. There are things that people tend to fill in the blanks on information or maybe just assume something didn't happen a few decades ago but couldn't place a point in history when it happened.
I flooded him with dates on history, just got quiet on the phone. We weren't debating anything, he just realize how shitty humans can be to each other.
The point was Anne Frank and Jews in Holland and the segregation laws in the USA. My first point to him was which one came first and then which year they ended in.

Then threw in the dinosaurs being extinct for 66 millions years next time we go see Sue (t rex) at the museum.
As an example, religion does that to people. They make people keep thinking of small stuff and their brain don't form the neural connections needed to process real world information. O_O
The point might be that sheep-ish people is easier to steer around I suppose.
You should consider that and be careful to not shock your friends like that often. It's bad for their mental health ... ;)
