"You HAVE to buy and use the textbook." - Professor Douchenozzle

You don't say.....
This has happened too often...
If you think that's bad, consider this.
The "Need for college" is an artificial construct perpetuated by two main forces. First, Predatory lending; get people in debt early and it keeps them in line for the long haul. A whole hive of "Worker Bees" who "Need this job" so to speak. The second is social engineering, but not in a productive way. University and other "Higher Education" establishments are supposed to be a neutral ground of idea exchange. That's the theory anyway, the reality is that 95% of this ground is controlled by the (bad)Liberal world, enforcing things like Political correctness and their own brand of censorship. You wind up producing a population accepting of everything but their own opinions. IE: Perfect thralls who won't rock the boat.
The exception is if you study in Stem Fields or classes with absurdly high fail-out rates. Generally this means the applicability of the study is more important than the tempering of the ego and personality.
Sorry, I just kind of get set off whenever I see one of those "You need to go to college" Commercials and had to vent. This whole world is nothing but lies.
