So I got a mothering tip tonight at wal mart from a lady that slapped her kid. Kid couldn't have been more than like 8 months old and she slapped him when he reached for ***on a shelf.
Apparently if you don't correct them when they're young, they won't respect you when they're older -_- Might be a few months late lol... but I just got some free stuff for going to megacon lol... on STO (Blue Quality DOFF and a title :3 )

And it was more of a "I wish I could skip the long period of practice I'd need to get that speed" than not knowing how to get to that level. :<

Because that speed really does take a loong time to get. You have to be extremely confident with a knife to do that stuff at those speeds. One mistake and you'll likely lose a finger.
When I've tried to push my cutting speed a bit too far, I've damn near lost fingers. Mixture of having nails and not cutting with very much force saved them. I've watched a lot of those videos too Rae, I'm so impressed with how easy he does some of the things I spend so long trying to do, and it turns out like crap :<

If I've learned anything during the last 9 months of work, it's that cooking is a very... imprecise?... art. It takes a lot of practice and flexibility and more than a little creativity.
I've found myself annoyed with very strict recipes lately. EDIT: Fun fact. I can't make Kraft Mac & Cheese to save my life. But give me noodles, heavy cream and your cheese of choice? Let me know how thick you want the cheese sauce and I'll give you a damn good plate of Mac & Cheese.
