Quiz kinda makes me feel bad for saying I have Irish ancestors, just because I don't want to disappoint him for thinking that my great aunt's friend's dogwalker (was that it?) was Irish. xD
I've never been there, but up until she died, one of my grandpa's aunts still lived there. My grandpa on my Dad's side was Irish, and I never asked my grandma was she was, but her maiden name sounded Irish. On my mom's side, my grandpa takes great pride in being an Irishman (but his last name sounds English. ?) but my grandma on my mom's side claims no Irish heritage in her whatsoever.
So if you listen to my folks, they'd like you to believe that I am 3/4 Irish and 1/4 mutt. But I think the percentage of Irish that is actually in me is much lower than that, because I really highly doubt that the bloodlines stayed "pure" on all three parts, and I don't really think my grandpa on my mom's side is Irish. I'm pretty sure he's English. xD
But don't go dissing potatoes! Those things are delicious!
