Mead is delicious. I have a cousin who makes his own complete with harvesting his own honey.
Everyone was singing it's praises. I just couldn't get past the sweetness. That's actually pretty cool. Does he actually harvest directly from the hives?
I want to start homebrewing again.
Yep. He has his own... I guess... bee farm(?) in his backyard that he goes to harvest the honey from. Then, I'm assuming after months, he separates the honey from the comb and then makes his own mead.
The funny thing is, he's a staunch Christian and a Republican, so when he told me he was making his own alcohol, he was all hush hush about it. At first I thought he was going to tell me he was growing his own weed (he has a garden, too). When I asked that, he was all like, "Do I look like I want to go to Hell?"
