Trying to figure out the best way to tell my wife's family that I got a motorcycle.

My family was easy, my mom said "Cool, be safe on it."

But her family is *** insane... they are gonna talk about how I'm gonna get myself killed, how it was a waste of money, and like really never let it die. Jesus, I still get ***from them about wanting a Corvette because they are fiberglass. God, toss in the fact I bought a Honda and they are really gonna flip their ***.

Her plan is to just not tell them... I'm thinking next family event I'm just gonna roll up on it and laugh. Totally need to do it without a helmet or any safety gear just to make it worse.

Drive it through their living room.

Drive up on it in front of her folk's place. Rev the engine really loudly and when they come outside pop a wheelie and take off like a bat out of hell.

Then don't answer the phone for a few days

Tell them how much insurance your wife will get if you kill yourself. That'll shut em up. Or so donuts on their lawn.

Is the weather in the states warming up yet? I really want to get back to the beach when i get home....

Then again, with this gut.........and this pale complexion...

Midwest is flooded as ***. NC is fantastic right now though. Lil rain today but it still felt amazing out.

Today was awesome. Nice weather out, then I got home from work, opened my front window, and listened as the downpours started.

I'm not surprised, what with all the snow they were getting this year. It was like every day that I heard about some new system going through and dumping 3 feet of snow. They're going to be drenched for weeks, I'm sure.

Flooding got very bad back home. Prisoners and high schoolers (same thing!) were out sand bagging in several towns around where I'm from. They're used to it, though. Happens at least every couple years.

I remember when I was a freshman, we went to sandbag the town I lived in. We watched some guy get arrested because he took a kayak out on the water and rode the wave when the levee broke. ***was funny.

Did you live near the Mississippi River?

It's a couple hours away but we have the IL river and a couple decent sized ones that go right around us. Lots of lakes and creeks, too.

Yeah, youse guys are surrounded by water. Lots of fishing out there.

Oh it's awesome there. All the restaurants rock the freshest fish. We always used to go sit on the flood wall in the next town over and go fishing off it lol it's still useful even when there's no flood

I haven't fished in years. But that sounds more than tempting. The best fish I've had was in Missouri of all places, but I've never actually had it in Illinois. Usually I either go for the pizza or... actually, not sure if I had anything else.

I'm from Cass County, the shoe shaped one a bit to the upper left of Lake Springfield. I'm from right about where the 3 rivers meet up. Besides all the lakes and creeks, we have the Illinois, Sangamon and Spoon River (funnily enough is usually the biggest ***) all up in our ***when it comes to floods.

If you ever get into central IL, in the Springfield sort of area, get a pony shoe. The usual way it's made is a slice of thick toast, a hamburger patty, big *** pile of fries, and then cheese sauce over the top of it all. It's so simple and so amazing. A lot of places have special ones, like breakfast versions or make your owns. I love getting chicken strips and tater tots for mine. There's an uh-mazing bbq place that makes their own cheese and bbq on the spot, they make Q-shoes. FML amazing.

Damn I miss home bad right now lol. I can make them here easily of course, but it's not nearly the same. You need the restaurant's special crafted cheese sauce!

It's never the same. I've made burgers a hundred times, but do they taste like Whataburgers? Nope. I know that's a bad example, but I have a point. No matter how much you try, it's just never as good as the place that does it exactly how you like it. Also, I want some cheese curds, now.

I'm gonna have to try cheese curds, you make em sound pretty great.

I have returned! had to take care of a few things here at work.

I am a very bad man though. I walked into my bosses office and one of my co-workers was in there. i proceeded to bomb him out of the office. He wouldnt go back in there for a good 5 minutes, wanted the stink to wear out. Then i bombed it a few more times right when my boss entered.

I don't think i have to worry about being called over there again for the rest of the day

Everybody must try cheese curds. Just like I'm so gifting them to Row for his wedding.
