So I was looking up history for video games for next month and I saw something....
April 01, 1997 – Midway releases the Doom 64 video game for the Nintendo 64 in the US.
April 03, 1990 – Namco releases the Splatterhouse video game for the PC Engine in Japan.
April 03, 2000 - Rockstar Games releases the Grand Theft Auto 2 video game for the Dreamcast in the US.
April 03, 2005 – Activision releases the Doom 3 video game for the Xbox in the US.
April 03, 2007 – Konami shuts down online servers for Metal Gear Online.
April 05, 2002 – Dungeon Siege released.
April 10, 1991 - A Federal Trade Commission investigation of Nintendo is made public. The focus was on allegations of price-fixing. It is announced that Nintendo had signed a consent decree, agreeing to not fix prices or punish retailers who lower suggested prices. Nintendo agrees to mail out $5 coupons to buyers of Nintendo Entertainment Systems between June 1, 1988 and December 30, 1990, toward future Nintendo merchandise.
April 11, 2001 – Tropico goes gold.
April 12, 2004 – City of Heroes goes gold.
April 15, 1999 – Sega of America announces the Dreamcast video game system will be released in the US on September 9, for retail price of US$199. The company will spend US$100 million marketing the system.
April 18, 2006 – Nintendo releases the Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! for the Nintendo DS in the USA.
April 21, 2000 – Daikatana debuts to a chilly public.
April 26, 1999- Nintendo releases the Super Smash Bros. game for the Nintendo 64 in the US.

EDIT: I think they got the date wrong, not sure but I thought it was last year they shut it down. After reading up on this game, I faintly remember the announcement but never played it. :|
