Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

It's a difficult topic to approach, as each union has their own manner of leadership, organization, funds, and course of action. On paper, what unions (are supposed to) do for the working class is great, as more often than not, private sector employers are not necessarily obligated outside of federal law and OSHA to give back or reinvest in the well being and productiveness of their work force. However, as of late, and as an overall trend, unions have tend to muck up the process and bond between employees and their employer which gets in the way of the simple need to work to make ends meet and then some.

Turns out 'Bones' is a pretty good show.

Also, this particular episode features copious amounts of cleavage.

Just remembered, had to do "Cyber Security" Training yesterday. Man, these computer based trainings are AWEFUL. They are long and boring and when the people making these try to make them "fun and interactive" it just makes it 10x worst. It's as if some crusty *** 60+ year old farm raised man was trying to make a new consol game with only the vaguest idea of what people like in the smallest sense. But at least it did show me how stupid some people can be when it comes to information security. Like some people wishing to send CLASSIFIED documents to an UNSECURED personal email? Or leaving a folder containing personal information on someone else out on your desk overnight?

Moral of the story, Common Sense aint so damn common now is it?

The most recent one that comes to mind, and i am NOT taking sides here, is the unions vs hostes factories. Because of that conflict and neither side relenting, they closed the factories and now we HAVE NO GOD DAMNED TWINKIES!!! If the unions had been a bit more cooperative then the factory would have been open. Again not taking sides as the same can be said of the management.

It's just as fair to say that Hostess big wigs were a bit self defeating with their labor management and consistently eluding the consequences of bankruptcy, while lining their pockets with whatever was left as it inevitably went under.

That's right Art. But again I am not taking sides. I think BOTH parties are equally at fault for Hostess (thanks for the correct spelling) closing down.

Another thing to consider though, when my last ship was in the yards for an overhaul, there was a union strike. During that time my ship was not worked on. This cost the government, as well as the company, a ton of money. It ended quickly but still. I do not think that unions look at the big picture anymore. Also at times I think they get greedy and also are nothing but bullies. For example, if you want to go work at Newport News Shipyard, you apparently HAVE to join the union and pay union dues. Well, what if you dont? Well then you get hazed at work, messed with on your time off, and generally have a miserable time of it until you DO join the union. It's pretty HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE, almost on the level of gangs in my mind.

I don't watch TV (for the most part) because I want something informative.

I just did the tutorial thing for LoL.

It was pretty fun, and I had decent FPS at the default settings (27-29 for the most part... Is it capped at 30?).

Between online social anxiety and not being very experienced at PvP, though, getting myself to actually play against other people is going to take me a lot of work, if I do it at all.

Yeah. For the most part, my union is simply a means of insurance without having to co-pay out of the *** since the company I work for don't have any particular package offered themselves. I'm sure if they did have some sort of policy package for their employees it would be cheaper/better, but there's no way of knowing. For what little I pay per week, it is worth being able to have my teeth cleaned, health checked up, and get meds without throwing my entire paycheck away.

Studying is the death of me. Took an hour to really understand 3 pages of this book. And I have 4 chapters to understand by monday. Whoops, procrastinated a bit too long, like I've done for the last two and a half years.... Got this thing called life figured out, I think!

I feel for you. I was in for three days and thought I'd go crazy being there any longer... I don't know how you've managed to stay sane.

not easy to do...

was going to get out next week, but the pain has been getting worse rather than better... and today I had something devastating happen to me which caused my blood pressure to severely spike and probably also caused the nearly life threatening cardiac arrhythmia I just got finished being treated for. Now they have me on watch.



edit: next week not last week... sorry. im not all here right now and probably wont be for a while

I really want to play FFXI, but I know playing until the winning numbers are announced to get rid of my marbles will be very tedious and frustrating.

got 101.9 fever, it sucks :(
