Zeon was free. They gained independence in UC0058. Their little bitchfit was because they wanted the same trading rights as Federation members without actually being part of the EF.
Admittedly, the Feddies put pretty strong limitations on Zeon when it came to trade with the Federation, but having a tantrum and throwing colonies at the Earth is hardly the way to go about resolving the issue. Especially when the Jupiter fleet had already brought enough stuff back to make Zeon completely un-reliant on the Federation a whole 5 years before the war broke out.

What I don't get about the Federation's mobile suits is that Zeon had mobile suits for 5 years before the Feddies even started developing them. Find it weird how it took them so long to consider building their own, especially when Zeon was already actively using Zakus to blockade the EF a whole year before the RX project even began.

As for Blue Cosmos; I agree that their leaders were ***. Still doesn't change my opinion that the CE timeline would've been a lot better off without Coordinators.
And yeah, I like the EA suits, too. <3 Windam. Hope it gets a HG kit during the SEED Destiny HD remaster. :3
Although, the Neo Roanoake custom would probably end up being an online exclusive. :/

Agreed! Though it was effective in scaring the Federation, though their retaliation was Nuking Colonies wasn't it?

I like Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tyr's Day and Thor's Day. Both bad ***, neither overrated. Heck, most people don't even know jack about squat about Tyr. Those were also the days when I was in college where I had it setup that I didn't have class.

To my knowledge, the only colonies that got nuked (and gassed) during the OYW were the ones that Zeon attacked before Operation British.
Can't see the Federation nuking their own colonies after all, and if they'd nuked Side 3, the war would've been over there and then.

Because the only major conflicts in the Cosmic Era are a result of the introduction of Coordinators. Not even getting into the whole sterility issue.

Maybe not, but nature always finds away to accomplish the same goals.

Well has been a long time since I read it, thought Feddies retaliated for the Colony Drop.

But it was progress made by man. It also helped further along space travel and space colonization. Even Mars colonies were helped out by Coordinators.

Lets! So 3rd Gen Coordinators started become sterile. Last I recall. Might been 2nd Gen. IIRC, Chairmen Zala and Clyne were both 1st Gen's born on a scared Earth in secret.
