I was actually 19 when FF8 came out and that was the first Final Fantasy I played so I dunno if it counts as childhood memories. When I first played FF7 I remember the scene in the Shinra building where they find all the blood and bodies from where Sephiroth escaped. That bit really made me scared of Sephiroth. Then when I got to this bit I had major chills.

Yep, that bit certainly gave me the chills. Especially where he says something along the lines of
"This may sound cold, but we have to keep moving" after loosing one of the escorts after the bridge collapsed. I think he can even cast life on you if you die before the battle is over.

Sephiroth showing emotions freaked the hell out of me lol

Edit:
And, hands up those of you who took a peek at his gear and tried to unequip his Masamune >.>

I've always thought this part was so sad, poor Vivi :(

Oh my God this. It was so sad, and the music was so fitting, I genuinely got upset.

The scene in FFX when they ride the wires from the Airship into Bevelle to stop the wedding is epic too. I love watching that one.

The scene in 7 where you wake up in the shinra building with everyone dead and the blood trail... I think i was ?8? when I got there and I remember something about it made me have to shut off the game and go back to crash bandicot XD

In 10 the pre Yunalesca fight where Yuna makes her stand saying she loved her father, will be strong and not give up hope.

In 12 when Ashe is standing before the suncryst with both blades and is looking between vahn and (what ever the prince's name was all i remember is it starts with a R)

13 at the final boss where Lightning draws her sword saying "we came for you"

11 has quite a few for me... The introduction of the final spirit warden deffenetly got me excited... It's a boss fight i can't wait to do XD

Actually, Seph never revived you in the middle of battle if you died, but you were always alive again when the battle ended.

Oh the Death of Emperor Gestahl and General Leo was another major moment for me.

Similarly another major moment is when Zidane finds out he's essentially a tool to destroy Gaia and walks alone whilst the rest of the team help him

Awesome theme too.

Oh where to start. I was 7 when I played FFIV(II). When Tellah killed himself with Meteo. Of course the final battle after everyone give you there power. Cecil is what made me want to be a pld main. Good thing they didn't have Abyssea back then ; ;

My next one was FFVII. Aeith dying was by far the most shocking thing that could have happened to me. My brothers aways watched me play every night and when she died, there was complete silence.. none of of could say a word. That and the final omnislash after you beat the game. I was like *** YEAH.. TAKE that ***!

FFVIII: The opening CS where Squall and Siefer cut each other. The CU at the end of disk 1 whenn Squall was stabbed. The song in the airship in space where Squall and Rinoa after he rescued her. The island of Heaven and Hell where I landed on accident and got my *** kicked. I wouldn't rest untill I could go and just rape everything... I still hate that malboro. Last the finall CS after you beat the game.

FFIX: The Final CS in the Opera.

FFX: The lake CS and Zanarkand. When the group attacks Bevelle During Yuna's Marriage and everyone is sliding down the ropes from the airship. When Tidis jumps from the airship at the end and starts disapearing..

FFX-2: I'll probally get shot for this but the CS in the lighting fields when Yuna is singing and they start getting flash backs to when Shuyin & Lenne was killed.

FFXI: When my friend Toprob and I completed CoP after months of trying to get a group to do it. The CoP storyline was by far the best storyline of FFXI.

Yes he does. I've played though at least 5 times now. It depends on if he kills the enemy right after you died or not. The only time he has time to raise you is during the dragon fights.

FFX-2 Was... "special". Not gonna lie, it started pretty bad and I think that turned away a lot of people that never played it any farther than that. But it really does end up being pretty good once the story turns a bit more serious.

Absolute worst "perfect" ending ever though.

FFIV: Battle with the Four Fiends, any one of them, but especially Rubicante. They're all awesome battles, made better simply by the music.

Edit: Also if this is appropriate for this thread, Skies of Arcadia, the Armada boss battle theme. That's all.

Ive always said it Tide-us until the sequel came out and the game started saying Teedus....which sounds stupid

---

on another note, We've only ever renamed characters once and that was during FF7. I knew Barret by the name Tina for about a year until I was told that wasnt his real name. Lol...

Even though he kinda appeared out of nowhere and was a bit confusing I still liked that fight more than the final Kuja fight, way more difficult.
