I'm glad I didn't play 12 and higher if avatars turning into motor vehicles was the case.
12 is Really great imo better the 10, and the Even if you do get mad at the avatars, thats def not what will piss you most off in 13
I played 12 for like 15minutes and was like Hmm, I should just play XI if I wanted this battle system and did so back then.
Now I'm curious what else is in 13 that's bad?
The thing that pist me off the most, was prolly the pathetic *** storyline, It didnt make any sense to me, but i was kinda drifting in and out the whole game, it was confusing to me, but maybee 1 day ill play thru it again, or read the storyline on wiki or something (beat it beginning to end btw)
2nd thing was prolly lack of "side quests" There is only 1 side quest you can do in the entire game, the rest is the main storyline, and the side quest itself is kinda pathetic, its basically like ff11 FoV ish, you look at this seed crystal, and it tells you this boss you need to go kill you kill it, you get a special item, thats it.....
Time to troll everyone that thought this game was good
So what your getting at is just because you didn't like it, means that someone else might not get some kind of enjoyment out of it?
Sure it wasn't the shining pinnacle of a perfect game, but it had some minor things that were ... decent.
You sold me on that sales pitch, lol.
Now when I say minor ... i mean MINOR :O
By far not my favorite, but that's not gonna stop me from beating it >.> I MUST BEAT THEM ALL :O
and/or own them all >.> no matter the pos it is lol.
Ive played and beaten 5,6,7,8,9,10,12,13 I was born 1990, so i didnt play much old school nintendo, so i havent beaten the 1st 3, I like 4, but it was pretty goddamn hard, i get the part where you cant wear any metal, and i always just give up there lol, ill prolly beat those someday though

You haven't beat 11? NEWB! Just kidding.
You beat 6 and found 4 hard? That seems odd. I've seen 4 beat in under 14 hours.
EDIT: I just remembered the part you're talking about. Yeah, the magnetism in the cave is a ***, you just have to go in with wooden and cloth gear, Cecil is actually decent with a bow and arrows.

Apparently theres 2 versions of 4, 1 thats really hard, and 1 thats average, i think i played the 1 thats very hard

It's all about leveling up your party early on. If you pick up about 5-10 levels early in the game, then the rest of the game is pie, as you'll be ahead of the curve for the rest of the story.
Once my party first got to Mysidia, I just fought outside of town until I had enough money to buy the Paladin's armor set, and by then I just stomped everything. Went straight to the last boss and beat him on the first try(not straight from that point, but through the game with little difficulty).
They need to make a return to Fantasy.
More Fantasy elements and less guns/lasers/motorbikes/titts/skirts/bi-sexual male characters.
I've seen anime hentai of Van... enough is enough.
@Lynxblade
Definatly play the first Final Fantasy. They have a remake that's out that you can get; remastered and all with some extras they threw in. It's out for both the DS and I think the PSP.
Personally I didn't like FF2. The story was ok but the gameplay wasn't spectacular; at least at the time I had played it many moons ago. FF3 made up for it and it was pretty good in my eyes.
I just got the PSP versions of 1&2 a few weeks ago. The visuals are SUCH an improvement than they were years ago. I like that they kept everything 2D (aside from cutscenes).
Also suggest FF1, can beat it in a couple of days but the gameplay is fun and calssic. FF2 versions vary in difficulty. Older versions drop one stat as another raises (randomly at that, sometimes if your INT goes up I think it was your STR that would go down) but that is taken care of in the PSP version.
FFX had a good game overall, X-2 ... well that was lacking in story for me but the gameplay was fun and I liked the dress sphere animations and the subtle (and not so subtle) differences in each outfit per character. Payne's White Mage style with hood-down was a throwback to FF1 when you get the job advancements.
FFXIII... it had promise but ultimately I didn't care for it. I do plan on beating it eventually but the arrival at Gran Pulse with those side-quest things ruined it for me. The weapon upgrade part was crazy hard for me too. I don't like spending time farming parts but thats just me.
I would venture a guess that XIII-2 won't have the same flaws; it'll have it's own flaws. I'll probably still get it. The thing that gets me is the whole Lightning versus some dark blue version of herself. Will they name this person Rod? I hope Rod wins.
Edit: She looks like a Paladin, Rod looks like a Dark Knight. Now they're just blatantly copying the successful titles (FFIV anyone?).
Edit2: I'm not calling Rod a guy yet - I stopped assuming genders after FFXII's Vaan was announced to be a guy.

It might've been better if they hadn't revealed upfront that Jecht is Sin. :|
I disagree - that was important because it puts you in the same position as Tidus: throughout the game, coming to terms with the fact that Sin is his father and gradually discovering why. The scene after Operation Mi'ihen would've been nowhere near as dramatic without knowing that (when Sin retreats after slaughtering everybody and Tidus swims after him) - that scene is great.
Well, ***, I may have to go back and play it again.

I want a good working ps2 emulator so I can play the PAL version of ffx =S Dark avatars and penance go!

If only I didn't have to download it in like 20 parts, if I don't use a torrent :|
After years of build-up and waiting, Final Fantasy XIII was released to so-so reviews. The game was a disappointment. But, if at first you don't succeed, try again.
Regardless of fan bickering or indifference, the game was a monster hit for Square Enix, moving over six million copies.
The game's developer, Square Enix, is working on Final Fantasy XIII-2, a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII.
The number of Final Fantasy games can be confusing for non-fans. Each of the games do not follow sequential order, so when Square Enix wants to do a sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, the game does not end up being Final Fantasy XIV (which is a totally different, already released game), but Final Fantasy XIII-2.
There is a precedent for this as Square Enix released a sequel to Final Fantasy X in 2003 called Final Fantasy X-2. The sequel followed the exploits of Final Fantasy X heroine Yuna, and Final Fantasy XIII is expected to do the same.
Square Enix has only unveiled the game's logo, which showed Final Fantasy XIII heroine Lightning as well as a new, unnamed character. It is thought that this character is Lightning's rival.
Unlike Final Fantasy XIII, which caused controversy by originally only being slated for the PS3, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is penciled in for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, right off the bat. The game won't have the wait that Final Fantasy XIII did. According to Square Enix, it will be released in 2011.
So... yeah... Wasn't a huge fan of XIII maybe they'll do this better? lol.
