Requiem of the goddess ending was pretty sad and i guess it is the true ending for the game i liked it but hated it at the sametime but holy crap lvl 10 lightning in her dlc is disgusting 9999 attack/magic 99999 hp she can brave faith and haste herself god i wish she could do that to the party ;_;
the lightning ending doesnt really clear much up, just a few small things. nothing has changed and i just dont see this as the other half of to be continued.
I'm wondering if there is a better ending from winning at level 0. as i said a few hours ago, i got two diff endings, one at level 8 and one at level 10, although the level 10 one was kinda short and im guessing the two i saw were the only two there are.
lol the fight is super hard to lose to imo cause any attack he tries just knight up then paladin shaman mage repeat if you have conjurer mighty guard or aura and just wail on him.
you talking about the lighting lookin like shes stonr after she walks up the steps? you can see the other one by beating it on level 10, I skipped the part where shes on odin then the next scene was new and short
My ending was of her demanding Serah back, and Yeul said it was her fault everything happened the way it did. She was then crying over Serah's body, and then she appears, saying it's ok and that she regrets nothing.
They disappeared into a white void and Serah was talking to Lightning. She then decided, to keep her promise to Serah of never forgetting her, to preserve herself and her memory of Serah in crystal stasis.

Yeah, I cried. Lol...
this was the 1st ending i saw at level 8.
I really think SE shoulda added some achievements for the dlc's.
- Lightning is seen on Odin and demands Serah back.
- Yeul pretty much says *** you, it's your fault she died.
- Lightning is then pulled into a void.
- She's then seen crying over Serah's body at Etro's Throne, apologizing.
- Serah appears upon the throne and says it's ok and she regrets nothing.
- They're then found in a white place, where she says to never forget her.
- She is then found floating through the Historia Crux before it shows her at Etro's Throne once more.
- Lightning then says she knows how to preserve a memory, indestructible crystal and goes into stasis.
- The canon ending is then seen once more when Valhalla's chaos is unleashed upon Pulse.
- After the credits, Lightning is seen in A Forgotten World where she awaits for the time where she may once more wake up.
I think a couple of those need to swapped, but that's pretty much what I watched.
I assume the UK flag is missing atm because it hasn't been released or something like that, we'll fall under the EU release and then they'll put the UK stuff in there which I think is purely because we have a different currency to most of the EU.
When selected the game prompts you the 'Are you sure?' thing, because story spoilers are shown in the cutscenes, so make sure you beat the game first if you dont want anything ruined!!
Anyway, you solely play as Lightning, battling against Caius. You have at your disposal 4 roles to begin with:
*Paladin
*Shaman
*Mage
*Knight
Paladin is the same as Commando, giving you access to Attack/Ruin/Launch to start with.
Shaman is a ravager role focusing on wind-based attacks. You begin with Galestrike.
Mage is another ravager type role, focusing on thunder-based attacks, and you begin with Thunder.
Knight is your Sentinel role, giving you access to the Immortality ability, which essential does what it says. Blocks any attacks. Though I think a few select attacks still manage to do some damage, though not much.
When you begin you start at Level 1. As you battle you gain CP, once enough is accumulated, you level up, which at certain levels grants you more roles and abilities, as well as stats boosts and HP.
Additional Roles:
*Conjurer (Synergist, unlocked at level 3 or 4)
*Sorcerer (Sabateur, unlocked at level 6)
Conjurer starts you with Mighty Guard (Protect Shell Veil Vigilance) and Sorcerer starts you with Chaos (Deprotect, Deshell, Defaith, Debrave, and Daze).
Lightning's Feral Link is Legion of One, which is the same as her normal Feral except with an added combo at the end, and she gains a small amount HP back with each hit.
Basically you fight Caius over and over. At first he's tough, but as you level up it gets progressively easier.
Caius has Commando Stance, Ravager Stance, and Healer Stance. Each is exactly as they describe.
In Commando Stance, Caius is at his worst. BUT! You will get visual cues (very obvious) when he readies an attack. The camera will zoom in on him and he'll snap his fingers. You cant miss it. As soon as you see this, switch to Knight as fast as you can and hit Immortality. Then switch back to Paladin/Shaman to drive up the stagger gauge. Once staggered, switch to Paladin and whoop his ***!
Once you hit Level 4 I think, you get Windstorm for your Shaman role, which builds the Stagger gauge very fast.
After a few battles, you'll face Chaos Bahamut. Here you get no obvious visual cues, but when he uses Metamorphosis, be prepared, as Megaflare follows shortly after. Switch to Knight when this happens or YOU WILL DIE.
I'm not past this yet, so my little guide ends here ^^;
Currently Level 6~
Hopefully it helps someone, pardon it not being organized very well but it gets the job done.
Also having issues with Snow. Anyone have any advice for this?
Love the BLM/WHM outfits, very reminiscent of Palom/Porom from FF4 :D
Currently fighting him on lvl 3, did well at lvl 2 but he caught me out with inferno after I'd already used my elixir so he ended up just wearing me down.
EDIT - AHHHHH tried to beat Caius at level 0, got close but I thought I'd try and launch him before he did his attack as a Commando, yeah that was a mistake.
Bleh, Beat the Episode at level 5, Aura is good ***.
A really nice trick was timing your Paradigm swaps to Knight so you would benefit from the Massive DT- effect and sometimes have a wide enough window to pop up Immortality for longer attacks, I read that Chaos Bahamut was an ***; but he was easier than caius because it was so predictable.
Decided to max out lightning on Power Crystals since I'm crap at monster builds, Wiped out omega in about 2 mins and went 1/1 on him :x
Turns out immovable MAX, is probably one of the most overlooked abilities I've come across Not to mention the Auto Bravery and the other stuff.
I wonder if you can reobtain Lightning for monster builds :x
I wanna build a really good gilgamesh lol
ok snow the strategy or really the key to victory is not to let his energy hit 500% as Sovereign Fist will 1 hit kill everyone even under sen sen sen it does 99999 dmg. few key notes are not to let him wail on 1 person for long so technically let him kill monster he'll switch to noel or serah raise monster asap switch to med med sen till gobby vokes off then continue on to stagger switching between rav rav com sab sab rav med med sen. my strat was:
com com V.Lightning
com com V.Lightning
sab sab Cloudburst- let him kill a person if need be
rav rav V.Lightning
rav rav Cloudburst
med med Goblin Chief
keep imperil deshell deprotect on him dispel his buffs if needed stagger but make sure you keep switching sen so he will chill out or it's game over before stagger use gobby feral link, stagger com com com lauch him then use cloudburst feral link 999% his bar then rape won in 8 minutes 5 star 1/1 on his crystal
After years of build-up and waiting, Final Fantasy XIII was released to so-so reviews. The game was a disappointment. But, if at first you don't succeed, try again.
Regardless of fan bickering or indifference, the game was a monster hit for Square Enix, moving over six million copies.
The game's developer, Square Enix, is working on Final Fantasy XIII-2, a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII.
The number of Final Fantasy games can be confusing for non-fans. Each of the games do not follow sequential order, so when Square Enix wants to do a sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, the game does not end up being Final Fantasy XIV (which is a totally different, already released game), but Final Fantasy XIII-2.
There is a precedent for this as Square Enix released a sequel to Final Fantasy X in 2003 called Final Fantasy X-2. The sequel followed the exploits of Final Fantasy X heroine Yuna, and Final Fantasy XIII is expected to do the same.
Square Enix has only unveiled the game's logo, which showed Final Fantasy XIII heroine Lightning as well as a new, unnamed character. It is thought that this character is Lightning's rival.
Unlike Final Fantasy XIII, which caused controversy by originally only being slated for the PS3, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is penciled in for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, right off the bat. The game won't have the wait that Final Fantasy XIII did. According to Square Enix, it will be released in 2011.
So... yeah... Wasn't a huge fan of XIII maybe they'll do this better? lol.
