I searched like 10 pages back but I know it was listed on this site somewhere, just can't find it.
Does anyone know when the Bikini outfit is going to come out for Serah?
Yes, I'm superficial.
Also the first DLC is coming out soon for the US, it's going to be fights against past FF bosses. It's going to be 3 dollars. Sounds sweet.
EDIT: Found this on a youtube description, lol. "The bikini outfit is out of season since its slated for release in February." So um sometime this month?
Maybe some of you can help me with this. I am absolutely horrible at Hands of Time. I honestly don't know how I keep solving these. I'll sit here for over an hour trying to figure out one puzzle.
My current headache: Clockwise starting at 12:00
4, 3, 6, 1, 1, 1, 4, 6, 2, 2, 3, 1, 4.
If you don't like doing these and really HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE crystal grab puzzles, don't explore Oerba. Lol. There's like, 9 distortions here in each time era.
Put the number that is in the 12 position on the clock in the first box and then work clockwise from there for the solution. Oh and click the box on the left once you have filled in your numbers.
On the subject of Oerba, im missing number 19 from the Great Mog Wisdom frags list, anyone know where the rift is for this i cant find the damned thing.

The worst ones are the clock puzzles that shuffle numbers after you mess up. D: As for the answer (and 0:00 is the "top" number.)
Yeah, I think I just finished the last Hands of Time. *SIGH* Would have saved me hours, too. Lol.
Almost have all my fragments, too! Screw that Ochu, though. I remember Neochu in XIII. Damn thing was annoying. And I highly doubt I'm ready for Long Gui. Though, I accidentally ran into that Cei'th in Oerba with like, 3 million HP. Got it down to about 1/4 of it's HP and was like, screw it. It was like, 6am. Lol. Need to remember wound potions.

Wound is so friggin' annoying.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. 3mil? What Oerba timeline were you in? 300 400? And I'm still missing 5 fragments; 1 for 7,777 coins earned in the slots and then that captain cryptic stuff
Cie'th named Raspatil. Noel has about 7k HP for me and Serah has about 6k. The thing that got me was the constant Wound spam and no Wound Potions. Chocobo hunting and farming growth items and then I'll go back out.
Oerba 400 AF. It's a random encounter in a distortion.
How does one get the ravager and Synergist chocobos? D:
Ravager Chocobo is the Blue Chocobo; you have to go to the Steppe ??? over to the wetland part. Requires a chocobo, extended jump fragment skill or find the gold Cactaur statue.
Synergist Chocobo is Purple Chocobo; Bresha Ruins 100/300. Outside parts only

Neat! I'll have to hit that up then. Been spaming Yomi for the mat he drops. Need 4 to make Noel and Serah's ultimate weapons. :<
(I love that he's basically a weaker Vercingetorix and also can be poisoned. >_> Expected time: 15mins Clear Time: ~5mins)
How does one get the ravager and Synergist chocobos? D:
Blue Chocobo is a RAV. He's in the marshlands in the Steppe. I notice him a lot when you make it rainy. Purple Chocobo is the SYN. He's in Bresha 300 AF and 100 AF. Make sure you Deshell and Deprotect and Dispel the Purple, make him die faster. They'll flee if you take too long.

PSH! Tri-Disaster! Build up that stagger bar til you get it. Then swap to a paradigm that has a COM in it with Launch! Also, get kill shot with monster party member's Feral Skill if ya can. Boosts the chance of getting crystal.
Is this worth buying?, i got 13 day it came out and basicly completed it to the bit where you can freeroam and do the missions then got heavy bored and regretted paying near enuff £50 for a game that i tossed to he bottom of my games drawer.
Or work on getting your fragments that give you Monster Hunter~ I love that skill so much. Makes farming for growth item so easy. Especially with my little Gremlin that gives me TH.

imo, it's definitely an improvement over XIII. I still liked XIII, though.
1) Win the Dahaka Cup in the Chocobo Races (1st place) for Collector Catalog
2) Farm 2from Microchus in Archylte Steppe (water lands; requires Gold Cactaur Warp/Chocobo/Jump fragment skill)
3) Purchase 2 Phoenix Bloods from the coin exchange Choco-Lady (can't remember what drops them atm)
4) Go to Archylte Steppe Chocolina's Shop with 30,000\ gil. Turn your Collector Catalog into Durable Collector Catalog.
This will make Rare Item drop rates 320% and item drop rates 500% with a 5-star battle rating. I don't believe two will stack; I did a fight with Noel and Serah wearing their own DCC accessories and was still 320/500% drop rate increase with 5-star :/
You kill em like any other monster, they make really good comando's too :o
He means how to ride them :p Have to kill 4 cactaurs from the green statues. But, there is a Gold Cactaur statue you can hit that will send you over to the water side. One sec, let me se if I can't find a map...
Here, youtube video. Tells you how to get all the frags in the Steppe, but it shows you the statue locations too (since they give you fragments too)
Ah awesome thanks. I killed the green giant catuar, then a metal one spawned and procceeded to do savage things to me. I found 2 red catuars that warp you to the camp, and a shiney one over near the big crack but that just spawned the giant metal one.
I dont know if this been said, but Chichu is like the best COM in game.
Must get fragment skill mog throw enhancement turned on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KICHU THE KILLING MACHINE, AND NONE IS EQUAL!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a) OBTAINING KICHU
Warp to AF??? Archylte Steppe, then go S from nomad settlement and look for a
small patch of red flowers in the field of grass. Toss Moogle in that patch at
least two times to get Kichu (you may obtain an adornment first, so that's why
you need to try twice sometimes). Once you obtain Kichu, start feeding it with
materials that raise STR.
b) KICHU'S STATS
Here's an example of stats for a good Kichu build.
LV 70, 5830 HP, 1520 ATK, 460 MAG, ATB Lv6 [HP/ATK/MAG can vary*1]
Passive skills: HP +30%, Role Affinity, Physical attack +35%, Auto-Bravery,
Physical resistance +36%, Magical resistance +36%, ATB recovery via Attack,
ATB recovery via Attack UP, Synchro charge up, Ensemble
c) WHY IS KICHU SO GREAT?
- Hard to kill: HP+30%, 36% resistance to all attacks
- High attack: Strong base attack, ATK+35%, Auto-Bravery, Role Affinity*2
- Fast: ATB recovery when attacking + upgrade (quicker than auto-haste)
d) PROCESS OF GODLY BUILD
First you need to capture 8 monsters. Here you have their names (I couldn't
find three english names), monster role, HPs when fought as an enemy, general
encounter spot, and details under which type they're listed in Enemy Report.
- Mud Frog, RAV, 36600 HP, W Archylte Steppe (rain, sunny, cloudy)
2nd type, 2nd subtype
- Tonberry, COM, 393939 HP, AF300 Bresha Ruins
2nd type, 17th subtype
- Niaomao, SYN, 21960 HP, W Archylte Steppe (rain)
2nd type, 18th subtype
- Green Chocobo, MED, 146400 HP, AF100 Yaschas Massif
2nd type, 19th subtype
- Moblin Center, SEN, 61000 HP, W Archylte Steppe (rain, sunny, cloudy)
2nd type, 13th subtype
- Nekomata, SAB, 24400 HP, AF400 Oerba, beach
2nd type, 18th subtype
- Fehita Kata, RAV, 15680 HP, AF400 Academia*3
3rd type, 1st subtype
- Frag Leech, COM, 3250 HP, AF200 Oerba, beach
3rd type, 6th subtype
Once you capture all monsters listed, level them up on Crystarium.
- Mud Frog to lv19
- Tonberry to lv24 (ATK+35%)
- Niaomao to lv23 (36% resistance to magic damage)
- Green Chocobo to lv48 (36% resistance to physical damage)
- Moblin Center to lv40 (Auto-Bravery)
- Nekomata to lv54 (HP+30%)
- Fehita Kata to lv18 (Aspir system recovery UP*4)
- Frag Leech to lv30 (Role Affinity*5)
Next, go to Monsters menu, and proceed exactly as shown here!
- Select lv19 Mud Frog.
- Infuse Mud Frog with lv24 Tonberry.
- Infuse Mud Frog with lv23 Niaomao.
- Infuse Mud Frog with lv48 Green Chocobo.
- Infuse Mud Frog with lv40 Moblin Center.
- Infuse Mud Frog with lv54 Nekomata.
- Select lv70 Kichu.
- Infuse Kichu with lv19 Mud Frog.
- Infuse Kichu with lv18 Fehita Kata.
- Infuse Kichu with lv30 Frag Leech.
- You're done!*6
*1 Statistics can vary depending on what materials you used when leveling up.
*2 If 2 COM are in team, physical damage is raised by 20% (or 10% for 1 COM).
*3 Only two units of this enemy exist. Save before fighting it, and reload if
you're unsuccessful in capturing it.
*4 ATB charges faster when attacking
*5 Damage increase depending on COMs in the team. 1 COM increases damage by
10%, and 2 COM increase damage by 20%.
*6 You're welcome to choose other abilities based on your taste. Some players
might prefer Kichu to learn Ruinga or other useful abilities. The choice is
totally up to you.
Okay Baroma, help me out. I'm trying to figure out a good third monster to use. Right now I have a Blue Chocobo (RAV), Goblin Cheftain (SEN; feral skill grants Protect/Shell/Viel/Vigilance/Bravery to entire party), and now I'm going to make a Chichu doing what you said above.
Besides the feral skill for the SEN mob, I really don't use it save for Combat Clinic and Tortise (which I'm finding pointless on most mobs tbh) So, two questions;
Do you happen to have any info on mobs to infuse into Blue Chocobo? I assume ones that grant it the spells it's missing and magic+/hp+/resistance+.
And what would you recommend for a third member? Or just stick with the Goblin? Was thinking of purple chocobo or green chocobo.
Kind of disappointed for buying the game instead of getting it on Gamefly. $60 and beat the story in 2 days, and all but the bestiary at 100% in 5 days. The story is very short and for the most part easy to complete the main story line. Took me just over 8 hours to beat the story line and my highest job was ~65 then. The final boss isn't even too hard. 5 star rating on first try ... the red/blue horse twins gave me a problem.
Tips for those who are just starting if you want to get a 100% mark:
- Go everywhere on every map while you are there the first time
- Fight everything you come across to help fill your bestiary the easy way
- A rubber band on the L1 button is your friend for the slot machine fragment. Took me three tries with 6k coins at start to get it (reload save game if you dont get it obviously).
Pets I've been using are:
- Chichu, Nanochu, Green Chocobo (I've never infused anything yet as I didn't want to mess anything up. Didn't need to apparently.)
I know there are more and probably better but worked just fine for me. No desire to build up anything else until they add more content to the game. Right now nothing is strong enough to stand against full 99 chars + chichu at lvl 40 not infused. I'm still using chaos fragment weapons too. Never bothered getting the others and obviously no need.
Down to the very last thing to do to finish 100% now ... Bestiary is missing something and can't figure out what.
Anyone know where a list of all the monsters is online?
that's a good spot to check for that Captain Quiz guy info. Have your browser translate it from Japanese to English if needed. Chrome makes it readable enough to pass the quest.
The Brain Blast answers are here for the most part, a few missing though.
After years of build-up and waiting, Final Fantasy XIII was released to so-so reviews. The game was a disappointment. But, if at first you don't succeed, try again.
Regardless of fan bickering or indifference, the game was a monster hit for Square Enix, moving over six million copies.
The game's developer, Square Enix, is working on Final Fantasy XIII-2, a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII.
The number of Final Fantasy games can be confusing for non-fans. Each of the games do not follow sequential order, so when Square Enix wants to do a sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, the game does not end up being Final Fantasy XIV (which is a totally different, already released game), but Final Fantasy XIII-2.
There is a precedent for this as Square Enix released a sequel to Final Fantasy X in 2003 called Final Fantasy X-2. The sequel followed the exploits of Final Fantasy X heroine Yuna, and Final Fantasy XIII is expected to do the same.
Square Enix has only unveiled the game's logo, which showed Final Fantasy XIII heroine Lightning as well as a new, unnamed character. It is thought that this character is Lightning's rival.
Unlike Final Fantasy XIII, which caused controversy by originally only being slated for the PS3, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is penciled in for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, right off the bat. The game won't have the wait that Final Fantasy XIII did. According to Square Enix, it will be released in 2011.
So... yeah... Wasn't a huge fan of XIII maybe they'll do this better? lol.
