They're paradox endings; three of them you can get without beating the game once (Kill atlas without weakening him first, kill the giant flan without solving the paradox, and say yes to Lightning in New Bodhum ???AF) Then you have to redo some areas by locking the gates with a Paradox Scope fragment skill active.
Not to mention you have to have all 160 fragments along with these paradox endings for this "true ending"! And you can't get all 160 without the paradox endings anyway.
So beat da game already!
Also, I call BS. I killed 5 monsters in 6 seconds and the time limit was 1:40; but I only got 4 stars. BS!
I figured as much. For someone that was already skeptical at accepting a kiss and makeup for what was already atrocious, I'm thoroughly convinced that SE has more or less become the equivalent in game making as M. Night Shyamalan is to making movies...
I dunno guys, I kinda like it. The whole wound thing pisses me off though.
Yea i couldnt figure out the point of that, im not crazy about only 2 players with and a bunch of collectable monsters. But if se wanted to make up for 13 i would of prefered 15 and a whole new game.
from someone who played and loved 13 more than 100 hours maxing out most of the charas, I cant find much to say bad about the game, although I havnt beaten it yetm ive dumped well over 20 hours into it so far.
im lovin the catching monsters ***too, just cought my 3rd chocobo, still tryna get that damn purple one, working on the fragment bonus powers to make the rare encounters happen more.
The collectable monsters is kinda cool I suppose, but I hate that there will always be something better. My Hoplite isn't my COM anymore, but that kitty better always be my MED because I've put way too many things into leveling him.

Yea i noticed that, u lvl a monster and if u get a new 1 u gotta start over for the same class. I'm not far enough into the game to see the purpose, i read u can merge monsters so mabye thats part of it.

once u find a mob u like u can infuse one of ur old monsters and take most of their traits + all the abilities u got while leveling up. gil comes much much easier in this game and so do the monster level up items, so dont feel bad about replacing monsters.
there is a tiny robot looking monster u will eventually see and prolly catch, it caps out at like level 20 and hast like 600 str and 6k hp and is pretty cheap to cap out, its good monster to use til u find a monster u wanna take to 99.
havnt gotten that far yet, and ive only played with a few low level COM and then stuck with the lil mini robot dude (Yeoman Lv.20 auto haste full atb charge from the getgo), id asume the behemoths are nice COM. Tonberry are mean in battle, i bet those are good too if u can catch one, but they seem super rare encounter.
most monsters suck til u infuse them with other monsters that have traits/abilities u want.
So, here's a youtube playlist of where all the fragments can be found/how to obtain them. It's the Japanese version, but that's really only a problem for the Trivia mini-games.
After years of build-up and waiting, Final Fantasy XIII was released to so-so reviews. The game was a disappointment. But, if at first you don't succeed, try again.
Regardless of fan bickering or indifference, the game was a monster hit for Square Enix, moving over six million copies.
The game's developer, Square Enix, is working on Final Fantasy XIII-2, a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII.
The number of Final Fantasy games can be confusing for non-fans. Each of the games do not follow sequential order, so when Square Enix wants to do a sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, the game does not end up being Final Fantasy XIV (which is a totally different, already released game), but Final Fantasy XIII-2.
There is a precedent for this as Square Enix released a sequel to Final Fantasy X in 2003 called Final Fantasy X-2. The sequel followed the exploits of Final Fantasy X heroine Yuna, and Final Fantasy XIII is expected to do the same.
Square Enix has only unveiled the game's logo, which showed Final Fantasy XIII heroine Lightning as well as a new, unnamed character. It is thought that this character is Lightning's rival.
Unlike Final Fantasy XIII, which caused controversy by originally only being slated for the PS3, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is penciled in for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, right off the bat. The game won't have the wait that Final Fantasy XIII did. According to Square Enix, it will be released in 2011.
So... yeah... Wasn't a huge fan of XIII maybe they'll do this better? lol.
