yeh the def didnt go up but the magic def is nice, i wounder the dmg/stun duration on shield bash tho in level 90 form

and -40% on Aegis is trash since you hit cap with Shell V before anyway. This... The lvl 75 shield will cap MDT with Shell 5 The lvl 80 Shield will cap MDT with Shell 4 (witch is what PLD can cast on itself) Everything else (unless the rules have changed) is USELESS. Which of course begs the question, "Have the rules changed?"

Trial 2 : Dynamis Jueno Mega Boss Killed while aegis is equipped x3 Trial 3 ; Dynamis BCD Attestion NM killed while aegis is equipped x? I'm hoping they secretly upped the shield block rate and/or damage reduced on block for the higher lvl versions, else they just displayed they have no *** clue what they are doing with Aegis since we could already cap MDT with just shell5.
That being said, I doubt we are that lucky, as shield damage reduction is tied inherently to the def rating (and size) of the shield. Since the def remained the same, we can expect no added bonus in damage reduction. However, the trials are extremely easy, so it's not like a lot of work has to be done to upgrade. Not 100% useless, some mobs wipe buffs or hurt you based on the buffs you have on. But yeah, more often than not, there's not good point to anything past the level 80 shield. It's a completely separate term in the damage calculations. To elaborate, MDT applies at the end and literally just slices the damage by however much you have. MDB applies in the term MAB/MDB (Attacker Magic Attack Bonus/Defender Magic Defence Bonus). There is no known cap to this.

The name of the golem is in the chat log, just a normal one.
Uhh, not to derail but if the new shield is 90% block rate does it not kick aegis' ***? Save the magic def.
