I'm from the Dayton-Lima scene. Devil Wears Prada/Cut Scene got signed(well the devil wears prada technically, i don't know enough about the band really, all i remember was they had some of the same members and just switched out a few people after a set when they played there) and all that after a battle of the bands in my hometown. Yea TDWP is pretty awesome my guitarist is really into them!

I'm too much of a vocal purists, though I enjoyed the basic novelty that grindcore/whatevercore band such as job for a cowboy brought to the table, but past that initial novelty it became boring to me. I still enjoy most of the older bands like that due to sentimental value but I find it hard to get into any of the newer stuff, at least the ones riddled with breakdowns and guttural sounds lol. though speaking of it in such a light makes me seem a bit critical...and then again i like metalocalypse too which incorporates a lot of that so I'd say it probably has to do with the structure of it all. more rambling. hrm i wonder if i posted this before lol >_>
