Well it's not good to go exercise with an empty stomach, likewise, it's not good to go exercise with a full stomach.

You should eat before you work out. My mom is a fitness trainer. She always eats right before she goes tot the gym as do I. Not sweets though! xD
Definitely. Although sweets/candy/snacks whatever, never really seemed to affect me. Therefore, I never really cared lol... but I'm not a fitness professional. I'm aware there's more healthy food one should focus on etc. but meh...
