First of all, you guys need to get over yourselfs. Rather then waist peoples time, be te bigger man and do what you say you do and don't troll. If you continue, your only annoying yourselfs because no one else cares to read your drama.
Second, I see a lot of good opinions, thx for the input, I'll post more later about what I think. That being said, for the people who are waisting time, I do think i saw there was another forum about people complaining about the job PLD. Feel free to post there if you want to complain, but I'm really looking to read more about peoples plans to test subs. The PLD/SAM sounds pretty interesting. :D

NIN/DRK, DRK/NIN, RDM/NIN were all better non-engaged tanks before atonement, and any DD was 100x better on most mobs if your ls didn't fail horribly and could DD tank things, DRK/NIN and BLU/NIN are still better after the hate nerf.

Sure there are some good ninja's out there, but he clearly isn't one of them, I have better gear for the job, and I almost never use the job. My point being theres a gimp ninja telling everyone that pld is useless, which is funny IMHO.

I sold my account 9 months ago, my item sets are accurate for what i had though I never put up the rest of them, I could if you care enough, unless you have dusk+1 and a relic your nin wasn't better than mine.

Aiming for these myself, LOLSKY, WSDMG+10% Uzura +1 and OAT Enchu +1 (it'll be an Isatu for a while, though, have 7 nails). Going to use Fuma feet/Rutter sabatons meanwhile I slowly work towards af3+2

Can't you solo byakko at 85 NIN? It had horrible acc at 75 in EVA gear.

Yes.
It seems to me that PLD is not what it once was as a "tank". With the amount of HP, and buffs other jobs can now get, along side the DMG most DD's put out, make it almost useless to use PLD's like they once were.
I think at 99 there are some exciting possibilitys for the job including haste, and other abilitys.
Any ideas how the job may change?
In 2004 it was pretty popular to stack VIT and DEF, 2010, haste ad ACC, it looks like SE is pushing for more -PDT% but who knows. :D
