Cloud Terra and then Shantotto. Speaking of which, they
-Made her Retribution attack a guard break attack instead of blockable.
-Made it so you can act MUCH quicker after landing stun.
-Increased the speed in which Bio's DoT effect procs.
(Just going but what I've seen fighting her)-Made the HP attack spells "power up" at lower Bravery than before.
I'm thinking of trying to main Kain if possible lol... I'm obsessed with anything Dragoon related. >_> Maybe Yuna too since FFX was what made me level Summoner on XI.
Yeah they buffed up Shantotto. She was too slow in the first one. Well, not slow as much as it was stupid easy to dodge her HP spells and she would sit there for like 20 years after she uses one, making her open for even the slowest moves.
Her Stun is pretty lethal now. It's pretty much instant with a move after Stun. I was stunned then Bio'd immediately while the damn Stun animation ring was still up xD
I look forward actually using her in this one.
I also like small damage adjustments they made.
Quote:
The extra damage dealt by Wall Rush has been reduced to 25% of the base damage from the original 50%. Chase Sequences are much faster and absorb the EX force around when entering chase or continuing the chase. Critical Hits now do twice the normal damage instead of quintuple.
I really like the Wall Rush nerf. It was stupid how fast matches were from a 5k BRV hit then a Wall Rush of 2.5k, basically leaving you with very little HP off of one *** move. The crit reduction is nice too. I think the main issue with the first one was how fast battles ended.
BRV combo, break opponent, HP attack and Wall Rush, then one more HP attack and boom, end of match. Now they're a lot more lengthy.
Garland was actually pretty fun to use. All of them were fun cept Jecht and that's just cuz I can't combo with him. Lightning plays very smoothly, Kain is just plain badassery. Tifa looks fun with her dodging thingy and Prishe can suck it cuz I still think they should have put someone else in there.
I can't think of anyone that would've been better to put in besides Prishe. I like her better than Shantotto, but I understand why she made the first cut because EVERYONE knows Shantotto.

Now to burn time all day ._.
Zeid could of been an interesting choice
the younger Zilart Brother could of been a evil side too.
Could of had a EX burst that like the younger one goes in the full armor and the EX attack has him bring the 5 Crystal warriors out to do big damage.
Just preordered the legacy edition of this in gamestop today, comes out friday so ill pick it up then along with crysis 2 and my 3DS,gonna be an expensive day....
Posting this before I go to bed because I found it funny.
I called GameStop today to ask about guides (I liked the poster in the first one and hoping there's one in this one too. Plus my sister is a noob and needs one. >.>) Anyway, they told me it was going to come out thursday and that I could preorder one there when I came to pick up my game. So I decided to ask if they already had the games in.
"Yes sir."
Okay, okay... So like, I preordered mine and was wondering if um, I could pick it up tonight instead?
"You preordered it sir?"
Yes.
"Hmm... One second sir, please hold a moment." -wait few seconds- "Yes sir, you can pick it up early."
Really?!
"Yeah. Just not tonight."
... You said your name was Chad, yes?
"Yes sir."
... Well played Chad. Well played.
Chad is now my rivial and I will catch all the Pokemon and BEAT HIM WITH THEM. And by Pokemon, I mean hard, metal bats!
lol I find it funny you can smack your party members around on the map >.>. Sucks I have to make a new game w/o carrying my first game save over :( some reason it shows up as corrupted lol. Damn pirating backfires.
That's the only reason I don't pirate games I really want. Roms can corrupt so easily. Hell everyone I know that did pirate this game early is buying it today anyway >_>
Well it's not an issue with the save itself. I can load up my Dissidia #1 and it will load just fine. It's an issue with the conversion process. There will probably be a fix or so for it soon. Yeah I generally buy games I really want to avoid this crap lol.
You get the code when you get the game.
At least, that's how it worked for me and LittleBigPlanet 2.
Be sure to remind the person at the register. For Black Ops, I pre-ordered but the guy forgot to put the code on it and I didn't notice. Was too late by the time I did =(
So is the release on the psn delayed or something? its not up yet and I'm very pissed off at the fact I could walk a couple miles and buy it and *rant about the pointlessness UMD's in today's world*, yet I can't download it.
New Mechanics
The mechanics of the battle system include "EX Mode" and "Assist." EX Mode functions exactly the same as the first game by collecting EX Cores around the battle map to fill up the gauge and transform the character into a more powerful state, which allows players to perform a powerful EX Burst attack should an HP attack land during EX Mode. The Assist system is a new element to the game which allows the player to summon an additional ally into battle to either assist in attacking the enemy or defend from an oncoming attack. It is performed using the Assist Gauge, which is built up by using Bravery Attacks.
Both modes are supposed to balance each other, because when an EX Burst is executed, the opponent's Assist Gauge is reduced to zero.
The three main countering systems are Assist Breaks, EX Breaks and EX Revenge. An EX Break is performed by stopping an opponent's EX Mode through the use of an Assist attack which forces the opponent out of EX Mode, additionally passing the opponent's Bravery points to the player. An Assist Break is performed by attacking the opponent's Assist character, causing him/her to be unable to call out the Assist character for a brief period; this also passes the opponent's Bravery points to the character. Lastly, EX Revenge occurs when trying to activate EX Mode while being attacked. While in the first game it would simply halt the opponent's attack, it now slows down time allowing the player to pummel the opponent instead, though it sacrifices the player's ability to use an EX Burst as it uses up the entire EX Gauge.
The biggest change is within the single-player story mode of the game, taking place on a traditional-styled Final Fantasy world map, with players being able to experience a story while exploring a world with scenarios and events taking place as the story progresses. Players will traverse the 3D world map with three-character parties, with players being able to interact in conversations with the characters. When roaming the map, players will encounter enemies known as "Manikins"; when attacked by an enemy, players will be transported to a battle map where battles will take place. There will be shops on the map which are specially marked. The story mode is also party based, similar to the story progression of Final Fantasy VI. In certain scenarios, parties will be predetermined, but in most cases players are free to select their own party. Alongside the game's new story mode, the game will also include the first game's story which will be remade with the 3D world map as well as additional elements added for the new storyline. Tetsuya Nomura, producer and character designer for the game, has said that both storylines played together would result in approximately 60 hours of gameplay
