Even though I got really *** tired of Alphinaud and his pathetic whimpering.
He gets better. Early Alphi is an annoying twit. HW Alphi gets a new voice actor and is marginally less annoying. By the time SB rolls around he's fine.
That's the one problem I had with FFXI, there weren't mechanics that had to be actively kept track of/done like that. Closest they got was adds and AV's locking system.
Delve bosses had mechanics. I still prefer XI's combat system overall, and will always be a little bummed that XIV didn't stick closer to the XI formula.
XI's system (at least once upon a time) actively awarded you for working together, rather than the typical "each do their own jam". |
