Its a full set. It behaves in the same way as the AA armor kupons. If you trade it and then dont select a reward you get it back as a KI.

Oh right. The thing I actually came here to ask. This is kind of niche so I'm asking here rather than the Odyssey thread.

I'm trying to max Moogle Mastery in Sheol A/B/C.
It requires 16 Aurum Strongboxes opened and X of each NM killed in each zone (6 in A, 3 in B, 9 in C.)
I'm doing the A-B stuff solo and very lazily, cause it's way less segments and I don't care about the gil.

Which of these two is going to take longer?
1) Total NMs killed
Spawn rate is 1 per floor + can buy more with izzat when you kill Halos.
Total needed is 96 A NM kills and 81 B NM kills - ideally, I'd hit 16 Strongboxes right around those numbers to not need more total runs.
or
2) Aurum Strongbox appearance rates
(I go on THF so I can pick them open when they do show, because they count even if they're a Mimic)
This requires me to successfully open Chest -> Coffer and get Strongbox to appear. I am not gonna bother fighting a Mimic, even in A.

I am currently thinking that the latter is by far a bigger constraint, so I should spend my izzat there. Does that make sense?

To me it's that theres a lot of random things that are heavily time gated, which are made worse on high population servers. Aside from day one, every objective has been completable within the hour, if you have no queue and no competition.

Will say though, putting several of these behind Adoulin missions, Rhapsody and weekly/daily resets. (Sparks, Odyssey) feels incredibly mean, when this is incredibly rewarding for a new / returnee.

That was my problem when I did it the first time it came out.

I dont think fastcs worked on it though? Unless thats been fixed too.

A tiny update here for anyone wanting to know how this is progressing who do not wish to look at the discord. ^^

Been working on the project daily. Last week or so I've been sick, so minimal work done then. But some things that I have done!

- Double checked & Fixed any issues with copying sets to easy GearSwap usable formats. Including augment paths & ranks.
- Added in a complete augment system and the new items from recent patches. (including but not limited to the Hoxne items)
-- Over 15K items and 1350 augmented items easily searchable and addable to any gear set.
- The loader now has the ability to read your partially augmented items and put them into the gearset. Then you can compare the actual power difference of what you have vs capped.
- Ambuscade Cape Creator has been finished!

You can now fully create any ambuscade cape quickly and test whatever gear set you wanted to test. Super easy to open and use! Just click the "A" in the back slot when it is empty and it will pop up for you!

- Partial Cape augments fully acceptable as well. Was already asked about it!


- "Show the Math" mode! (Currently working on)
-- For transparency of the math, I felt this needed to be added prior to the 1.0 launch so that the numbers could be trusted!


-Just an early view of it. It will look better once I get it ironed out.

Multiple collapsible groupings so you can see what stats change what within the damage computations.

Also adding in a Debug Advanced mode. For those who want to dive deeper and help any possible issues that may arise in the future in the discord.

Items added to the Post 1.0 Launch workload:
- Complete Oseem catalog, creator and probability display.

Also along with the 1.0 launch, I will be creating a google doc file with in detail numbers and comparisons of 20~ different WSsets and numbers with Kastra's numbers and MuffinMetrics. As Kastra is a trusted source already, this will hopefully help give validity and trust to the new tool. And to be clear, my goal is NOT to replace Kastra, but for both tools to be readily usable and accessible to the community. With two tools that function similar, but have a different approach, coding and extra features. We will hopefully push each other to become the best we can, and this will give the community more resources to help players of all skill levels and styles!

Looking for 1. RDM,GEO preferred, but we are very flexible.

9:30est 4-5 times a week. We have finished quite a few stage5s and looking to do a few more. We also do Odyssey, Limbus etc but the main focus is Sortie as a team.

Same i have a rank 26 with two matters just waiting for points to use... I still have my doubts people will ever kill nms as much as this ever again though so trying to make sure i get my matters now.

I doubt they matter, but there are a couple of repeatable quests that change as you do them more, but don't ultimately reward another title.
* The Naming Game 10 times unlocks the 4th option.
* Finding Faults - You can get some of the answers wrong and still complete the quest
* The Art of War - You can get some of the answers wrong and still complete the quest
* Bait and Switch (6 times + Chameleon Capers unlocks another item)
* Targeting the Captain - Get all 3 chests

There may be more!

Great feedback, it sounds like it may make the most sense for this to be part of the PlayOnline Account Details. That would give the easiest control on a per account/character basis.

Also, we've had a few beta updates, be sure to check out for any fixes :)

At least for me I've long since gotten to the point where the matter is barely a concern anymore, the units are the clear limitation now. I hope they introduce a way to exchange matter for units in the future.

Definitely. However some pieces do not have that enspell damage, and some have very little, so there's probably be a breakpoint somewhere where it could be worth it.

Bolter's Roll is only really relevant in caves/dungeons/town. Not insignificant, but a large portion of the overworld is outdoor zones where mounts are allowed, so unless you're trying to enjoy zone music or do Voidwalkers it's kinda ehh.

For towns/dungeons you can use Sprinter's Shoes + Movement speed gear on any job for 22~28% movement speed. 24~30% with Cactuar cheer.

I'd go with BLU/dnc or even BLU/brd(Raptor Mazurka is +10% speed and you get to hear your lovely singing voice). Any dungeon/cave you get agro in, you can just cast Subduction and continue moving without engaging at all. 18% movement speed option in Carmine Cuisses+1, so you don't gotta sandbag the entire Adoulin mission line to get your movement speed (I mean COR can wear these too but...)

BLU can cap its magic haste on its own, too, if you really need it. Like for a quest NM fight or something. Most high end BLU physical spells put most quest mobs in the grave pretty quickly too. It's like the one area they get to shine in, old content with low HP pools. Don't even gotta engage.

Does anyone have any data on the duration of the Melt Kukri/Knife defense down effect?

I've been testing it out on Locus Ghost Crabs today, and it seems to be tier 2 defense down. Able to overwrite Scissorguard, but also seemingly able to be overwritten by it... (this I am unsure of tbh, I don't see the defense down effect wearing off in my log, but I am not sure whether it's up or not when Scissorguard happens).

I'd actually never seen the enchantment effect icon, which looks sick.

I'm also curious to know if the Kukri has a higher potency than the knife. I've only got the knife right now, because I do not have alchemy skilled up/none on AH.
