everything.
it really messes with people too... mostly their egos.
but FORD gave in and started hiring me to fix all kinds of problems that they couldn't.
the last one they asked me to solve a problem and I told them that I already had a solution before they finished talking....and they were like no you don't understand, we have had a team of 50 people working on this problem for four years and have been unable to solve it.
No I do understand on a level that none of them are able to even comprehend to hear the solution you have to hire our firm as a consultant /quote

so far they have been scoffing loudly at my quotations for a return trip to dumb old mitchell to do some programming work.
it's 2,000 miles... 32 hours of driving alone mofos.
twenty six years trying to convince a bunch of gold plated desk jockeys that my time is valuable.... FORDBUYER: well... we typically only pay guys that do that kind of work a third of what you're quoting... ME: and if any of them were capable of doing this job we wouldn't be having this conversation!
but they just don't understand... they've exhausted all other options at that point and they're down desperation alley considering letting frickin Hannibal Lecter Macgyver out of the goddamn box to go fix it with a pencil eraser |
