Really liked the first two. Yes, I know they changed a few things from the books, just enjoy it for what it is if you enjoy it.

Anyone have a per-Limbus zone point limit of more than 48k?

I like Triple Attack gear with Foenaria-4 since it has 4% Triple Attack on it. That's what my "DRK Normal TP" set on the last page was, and sometimes I flip between Hetairoi and Petrov. I like the DA on AF legs over Sulevia (10 extra swings vs 8 extra swings), but the DT addition from Sulevia adds bulk so it's interesting. I don't fancy using Seething for it though, and Clotharious/Balder is not enough TA for me to care. TA for DRK is cool for your glass cannon/messing around/farming UNM/Limbus130/Sortie Objectives sets, for everything else I go with Sakpata's. You really don't miss a whole lot of dps with it.

You could try to get enough STP to save a swing. DRK without buffs is probably the job id consider worrying about that kinda thing as while it's got high attack speed, it lacks what other jobs got over the yrs like 100% DA, bunch of unlinked jumps for quick TP, zanhasso and theres only so much you gain from that extra JA haste(13% ideally)

Always did wind just because its right next to the porter. Long as its not a dark ele it should be alright

Fire elementals looks to be the big difference, everyone was recommending Leaden > AE > Leaden > Wildfire, which indicated Wildfire was the largest source of damage being the closer.

So I wasn't attempting fire elementals, as of course wildfire would be bad vs them.

However, it looks like just Leaden > AE > Leaden was more than enough damage for you to rip through them, and only doing a three step SC is substantially more viable than a four step, and greatly shifts priorities, I'll try that next time.

I tried wind/earth/lightning elementals, all of which had their respective issues (wind has shadows, earth has stoneskin, and lightning stun spikes)

Fire elementals definitely will be way easier to TP on, and if I can just 3 step them then I prolly dont need triple shot at all, because I can waaay easier pull off the three step.

I was finding I could get Wind and Lightning elementals down to about 20% off the three step reliably. Sometimes trusts interrupted it but tbh it wasnt a huge issue. The fourth step though was way more iffy to pull off.

What did you pick? ^^

Got rank 1 on mule and chose the Mythic kupon. I suppose its more time effective to level a job I haven't ever took up before and go through the story again.

ahh emergency maint makes sense as to why that is perhaps. I wonder if we'll be able to snag it on its last day there, considering it will have been 72 hrs since those of us who got the NE5 one did.

Hmm. Well there aren't two of them. The lizard floor one was right before the update. So that disappeared but then one popped on NE5 next to some bots. Vermin floor. That's not longer there even though it only showed up yesterday. I grabbed that one prior. Found the one at NW5 but "nothing out of ordinary"

Weird, the Asura one was -- and still should be based on time it spawned -- on NE5 lizard/dragon floor. Are there two of them up currently?

I didn't like it, jokes felt really forced and took too much time. Like you said, it just starts in the middle, text at the beginning to explain stuff is lame. Very slow start...

Just keep thinking what a shame we lost Henry, I really think they did ace on all the previous casting except flash and they just threw it all away. He was a way better superman, and felt more "realistic", this one just sucks and keeps losing fights. The whole politics in the movie was really annoying and forced also.

Well I haven't tried this particular set at all, but Seething is in there for gear haste. With Coiste, the set only reaches 24% gear haste. (I also don't have a stage 4 Helheim yet, let alone a stage 5). Just an idea I'm presenting.

Issue I'm having currently is whether LR is up or not, occasionally can't do double light or double dark like I'd like to. My DRK isn't really kitted out, and only at 520ish JP, so currently I use either R15 Ragnarok or Agwu's Scythe. I like to do Scourge > Reso > Torcleaver for double light, as it'll kill Apex Poxhound in one go of it. Great Sword has more of a struggle than Scythe, but Scythe occasionally struggles too with Entropy > Cross Reaper > Quietus (for funzies). My current TP set is more along the lines of this, though I'd been swapping some pieces around to experiment earlier:

I know the MEVA's kinda garbage, but get -41% PDT, -31%DT and 17% triple attack.

You could also glass cannon and get 20% triple with Hetairoi Ring and Clotharius Torque.

Or is Triple just not worth it on DRK?

I'm just having a hard time self SCing consistently even with /sam with just my Trusts as I work it towards Master, and looking for something that gets more consistent/faster TP.

I'm not so sure about this...while haste samba can be a bit annoying to keep up, DPS is as high (or higher) with /DNC and haste samba. You could also use steps into reverse flourish for another quick WS.

I'd say king of hearts, ulmia, Joachim, healer, and whatever you feel like. If you're only dealing with elementals then the conal from KOH isn't likely to be an issue even if he uses it and frankly, he very rarely does in my experience.

Between triple shot, reverse flourish, quick draw, and regular melee I think this should be quite trivial.

Which rolls are you using? If WS damage is good and your problem is getting TP, miser/Samurai should also make this much easier.
