Morning, what's the Monday Tradition? Check to see if Parker is alive from his binge drinking over the weekend?
GF's birthday this week, was trying to go away for next weekend. Storm coming to East Coast is making us rethink going away.

Summer vacation finished, birthdays completed for the year, awesome summer weather. Kids are great, Kara is great. Getting close to ending the first year after changing companies for the first time in about 12 years. How are things?
living in the eye of the hurricane brother...enjoying these calm little moments before the storm.
It was labor day here in the states this past weekend which for me meant enjoying family, friends, cigars, scotch and grilled meats
the weather was a little hot for september but all in all it was a nice weekend.
top bbq prize goes to my uncle who grilled the best chicken that I think that I have ever tasted... that perfect balance of crispy skin on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside and the perfect kiss of smoke and spice all over. he set the bbq bar pretty high yesterday... <tasting noises> man...now I need to up my bbq game..
changing jobs sounds kind of scary and stressful with a wife and two kids depending on you... I'm glad that all worked out..
I've been thinking about doing the same and cautiously sending out some resumes... mostly applying for jobs I'm under-qualified for just to get a sense of where I am in the world..
Was getting increasingly fed up with lack of action/change/opportunity, so made the most of an external opportunity when a headhunter contacted me.
Unfortunately the current job is somewhat.... under-utilizing... my capabilities, but for a good chunk of change more than what I was earning a year ago, plus some better ancillary benefits. I'm working with them to try to determine a better fit, but we'll see if it pans out into something sustainable in the next year.

good to hear, I like to know the danes are doing well. you guys ever coming home? or just lifelong europeans now?
things are things.
the kids are off to school, today is actually feeling like fall, and the wife is working on a nursing degree. I remain the same throughout. the videogames I waste my time on are the only things that really change with me. Waiting for HANS SHREDDERMAN this morning, sipping fine coffee and contemplating a few work projects and a few spacebuck projects.
feeling a lot older than 35 too.
/shrug It isn't likely that we'll be returning to the US in the near future (at least until the kids are significantly older), unless possibly if major wars or other significant disruption breaks out.
We'll see what happens after we go for DK citizenship.

i'll take 1 double espresso with a bagel please *slides it over to you across the table top*
almost never have a washer and dryer in unit around here and I refuse to lose that convenience. I know this feel >_>

I guess the gofundme thread was deleted?
Spath, how come you rented an unfurnished apartment? The only furnished apartments are normally college dorm style numbers up by the University, or incredibly expensive. On top of that even though they can't bar my cat from coming with me if she were to cause any damage to the furniture I'd have to pay/lose my deposit for it.
In addition they're almost always tacky and almost never have a washer and dryer in unit around here and I refuse to lose that convenience. >.>;;;
On that note:
7 Days.

I guess the gofundme thread was deleted?
no one has taken credit/responsibility for it, but it"s gone.
naturally girlboy is right at the top of our list of suspects LOL, me thinks it was probably taken down at OP request.
Hope the guy makes it "home" or whatever, I felt bad for OP, but from what I remember reading, it was a good thread to eat popcorn at, at all the comments.
I did think of it, and my trip a few months ago, from Northern Nevada to East Coast cost about $600 or so, and I am high balling that sort of (I didn't keep receipts). 3 nights of hotels, food, gas, for one majorly parked up Honda CR-V. I didn't mention that in that in that post though...

Evil Scientist Report NiDate 18482:
The castle has sustained some minor cosmetic damage, mostly from us, while repelling the invading horde of time bandits and then ramming/sinking their ship... as soon as PARKER finishes tossing all of the corpses over the side we will...../scotch swig to help blur the memory of all the time bandit corpses floating in the sea of time
well you have to look on the bright side PARKER they were small to start with and most of them were either cut in half or machine gunned into easily manageable pieces... yeah well things are tough all over...
anyhoo... where was I? oh right.. we will be picking up speed short
