Also dynamis wasn't instanced. It was connected to the normal world we all shared and only one group could enterat a time.

Yeah. There used to be world events that were more part of the game AND instanced things. From what I've seen everything is instanced and no more hnm world boss type things. The game started moving in that direction more and more and that was when I felt the game was at its pinnacle. Is that ok or are you gonna get all jet about it?

Soooo we're just gonna ignore Dynamis, Limbus, Einherjar, Salvage, Assaults and Nyzul Isle? Could also include BCNMs and KSNMs technically...

i treasure my memories of xi and what it was when it was at it's best. at that period (late toau/start of wotg) i think it is the best game of all time. once you didn't have xp parties, and everything became instanced i stopped enjoying it as much.


i'm gonna let that stay pure and not try to go back to tri-boxing a bastardized version of the thing i loved.

To be fair I don't know how much fun I'd actually have... a lot of the fun I had in that game was due to a combination of the world, large amounts of free time, and all of the friends. I'd only really have 1 out of the 3...
