Umm...whoopsie? I guess now you need to have twice as much JSE in your inventory, so you can lockstyle the old stuff over the new ones?

I'm not saying SE aren't dumb enough to do it, sure maybe they will, but it would be an extremely bad idea.

I also think people are way too optimistic (and have been all along) about JSE+5. The JSE+4 is already strong enough as-is, and doesn't need any kind of bump in stats. We got a shitton of BiS pieces with nice boosts to eva, meva, and relevant base stats all over the place, and everyone's reaction was like "that's it? Where's my +5?"

Not saying SE won't cave in to the pressure and make +5 but again...I think it would be a huge mistake.

Thought is the process of connecting related concepts. Words are the way you express them. Consider someone who speaks multiple languages; even if language is a component to creating an idea, the idea continues to exist independent of the language.

I'm not sure if that really helps; I'm certainly no expert. I see thought as a level of abstraction higher than language. Obviously different people have different verbal IQs and ways of thinking; someone with aphantasia would likely have a very difficult time differentiating thought from language.

I'll do a comprehensive update when i get a chance, but after reading that official forum thread I thought I'd share some insights on things I have NOT done to hit rank 9

I don't have a number of mog garden titles, i still need the 500/1000 day pond/ocean ones as well as the 500/1000 monster raising/killing ones. I do have all the rearing mementos

I have not de-leveled any crafts to get additional titles for veteran GP items.

I am 'only' midway through stage 3 crafting shield.

I don't have the 500/1000 MMM titles, I do have the full set of runes.

I've done a bunch of monstrosity, which is what tipped me to rank 8 originally. but not TONS - I focused on unlocking the monsters that required item trades in case the were considered "quests". I still need to do adamantoise, my highest lvl monster is 70.

I do have one of the brown mage titles, but I don't think by any means that would be mandatory content.

I have completed every quest and mission in the game, and beaten all endgame content except the last 3 MTs.

IMO I feel like while some of these more unreasonable tasks might fast track you up a rank, they aren't mandatory to get you there. there's probably some baseline req for certain content to qualify for a rank + x amount of points from titles/skills etc to actually get to it.

I havnt gotten any replies outside of the 3 subs on the list that wont currently be in the main alliance. They'll fill in if anyone doesnt show.

That being said, Still need 4 or so more ppl to fill in the outside alliance (no title), if anyone has spare mules or friends who'd be willing to take the gil reward for their black abyssite!

If you're going to speculate crystal armor, then the only reasonable NM that should be dropping that set (or fragments to upgrade to crystal armor) should be Provenance Watcher.

First thing that comes to mind is that they want more models to use on mobs so they can have HQ variants of the limbus NMs. VNM shadows for HQ NM pops might've been too subtle, give the HQ versions prismatic gear or whatever, make em shiny.

That said, I don't think it's likely. I think if they had more than just 2 sets they would've shown them - so I'm psyching myself up for upgraded homam/nashira... but that just begs the question, why not give THOSE sets the primastic treatment?

Maybe they gave an intern the task of recoloring the texture maps for a bunch of popular gear sets or whatever. "Apply this photoshop filter to each of these textures." Maybe they had an AI do it. We'll find out soon enough.

Probably a pointless lore detail, but the AAs were created by the Zilart. It wouldn't be thematically or canonically incorrect (if they make usable AA gear) to have it come from some research apparatus in Sea.

Thanks for the context! I completely agree by the way, I don't expect any more than 5 sets at the most, but 2 or 4 sets feel more likely.

But I've encountered several people hyping themselves up for AF/Rel+5 coming with reskins this update, and I really don't think that's happening.

I'm bored.

Ark Angel Hume is a reskin WAR AF.

I wouldn't be surprised if these were just new login point reward lockstyle pieces.
