Adulthood is a matter of age. When I was young I defined an adult as someone who starts a sentence with "when I was your age ..." but by the time they finish it you discover they never were.
By that standard I am happy to say I still amn't an adult.

I suspect the door was to make it harder for the player to escape monsters. At least I can't think of any other reason for it. All staging point doors are like that

Also in the field of CG modelling there was a company that did this (Kaedim), claimed it was AI but paid Indians pennies to use Blender to make models.

So, are the trust .dats separate from the .dats used during CS/battles that the actual NPCs use?
Different files.

I just assumed we're all adults
Adulthood is a matter of age.
Maturity isnt strictly related to age thus adulthood.
You assumed correctly, I dont think we should have any teenager or lower here, given how old is this game.
But I think only me achieved the higher stage of enlightment. The rest are just stinking nerds.

It was more like a culture war than something explicitly political. IDK about Brazil but in the USA culture war is a central theme for one of our political parties.
They even invent their own language for it.
Issue isn't expressing opinions, it's that he expressed his opinion then removed the ability for anyone to contradict him by locking the thread. In this thread, he once again expressed his opinion then implied discussion had to stop. Isn't that part of what DMs are for?
I came here expecting memes /comfort. I miss fonewear too.
I just assumed we're all adults That is a BIG assumption.

most of it is just a byproduct of there being very little to talk about regarding FFXI until very recently. most of the game is completely figured out, there isn't enough new gear coming in to spark discussion about sets, nor challenging enough fights to require new strategies. obviously with +4 things will be lively for a bit, and then the Limbus bosses at the end of the year perhaps.
so its natural for a site where there are only a handful of active threads not exclusively about FFXI that the NG thread would follow the path Vyre mentioned. people want to talk about other stuff with people they have something in common with.

I'm more curious to find out if theres a difference in the boxes or they're just a red herring. I can't think of a situation or older system in the game that they have given us a "choice" before a RNGing a reward. AMAN Trove.
(haha yesssssa cat's eye) Not exactly, I could be wrong on this but anyways, AMAN preloads the rewards and mimic into each chest randomly. There is no way of narrowing it down to get better odds at specific drops.

+15 seconds to SP2s to compliment the OG SP1 augments would be awesome.
for sp2s without durations something like an invisible 7 on cutting cards so it resets itself etc. (or +5 min reduction)
the real challenge will be managing inventory since i bet these things wont be storable until fully upgraded
This will be a deal breaker. I have only room for 1 JSE set and porter packer is my best friend.

So, are the trust .dats separate from the .dats used during CS/battles that the actual NPCs use? Or are they the same .dat regardless. It would be kinda funny to replace them with completely different models and go through the story content with them being like all mutant chocobos or something heh.

Can't wait for Monster correlation effects +8 on BLU head, chain affinity +26 on boots and burst affinity +18 on pants (without adding any matt).
It's going to be... wait for it...

Even with the (very slim) chance of a huge reward like that I just can't bring myself to do this event. It's so tedious

I haven't really been keeping up with the thread that was locked, so what I'm saying may be terribly misinformed.
I think it's pretty neat to have a forum where everything from how SE could improve chocobo racing to differing opinions and beliefs regarding P&R. Despite that, this is still ultimately a FFXI forum, not 'the free market place of ideas'. If a mod wants to cite his perspective on a controversial topic as a rationale for locking a thread, I can't really fault him for failing to facilitate the free flow of ideas, when that isn't exactly a FFXI forum mod's job.
It's also cool to see that Thorny (presumably) likes Stormlight Archive, I really enjoy Sanderson's books too.

SE is giving the EP granted a very high value. Its one of their few carrots. Vanabout gave 10k + another 10+k as a possible platinum reward, and the time investment for 1200 plaudits is nowhere near the time invested to do a phobos orb fight. Peach Power is 10k per flan, but you can only go once per day, and getting a box is kinda annoying.
You're not wrong. And I think a LOT of people here do not appreciate that this chunk of EP really is a very tempting carrot to a large portion of the player base who don't obsess about this stuff to the same degree we do. And I'm talking a lot of players who would not even succeed at Peach Power, so stuff like the bonus EP from things like Besieged, Vanabout, and Shami's Trove are pretty appealing to them.
I'm in an RPG discord that has several new or returning XI players, not at all hardcore FFXIers. They're thrilled about stuff like EP bonuses. Couple people yesterday were pretty excited to get Eschad Rings upon login. We sometimes forget that there are a lot of players out there who aren't like the typical forum posters lol.

I have other kupons from old Bonanzas and you don't have to redeem them. The dealer moogle reacts to the kupon long after the redemption period (because the kupon itself is the prize). This is also true if you've convert the Kupon item to a key item. (You can do this by trading the Kupon to the dealer moogle and deciding not to pick a prize. Your Kupon will be converted to a KI).
I would bet my money that these Kupon MOGB items behave the same way.

I thought the dealer moogle was permanent.
I think it works a bit differently with pearls because the numbers change, but you should be able to use the kupon whenever you want to.

LLMs aren't simply arrays where each dimension represents a language value. They're neural networks with learned representations that emerge from training, not predetermined mappings of language relationships. The internal representations are far more complex and dynamic than static arrays.
Also, junkie, LLM's embedding space doesn't "represent a unique value of that language". The dimensions represent learned features that capture complex linguistic and semantic patterns - they're not one-to-one mappings to language elements.

When going full evasion i found run sub helps a lot can put parry on an ambu cape to go with inquartata and you can end up with a decent parry rate to go with evasion. This makes issekigan much more meaningfull. You also gain swordplay as a nice evasion cooldown.
