For the SMN NM, every trust I summoned died within 1-2 hits...Except Ygnas, who survived until the end. That guy is a champ, MVP healer trust right there

Empyreans in general are so much fun to play with. Verethragna being my favorite.

most free for all content has been exactly like this, with maybe the exception of DI. not at all surprised. game isn't really designed for this type of battle so all you get is hp sponges with overtuned damage.

wildskeeper reives, beseiged, campaign, walk of echoes... none of these were even remotely fun until you outgeared them or they gave you temps like fanatic's drink to ignore everything.

Are the stats for the new items posted anywhere? I didn't see them in the thread yet unless I missed them.

We just killed Vishap (DRG) in Apollyon. Shadows really helped and made him very straight forward. Yagyu FTW.

Smaller servers already beat Temenos NMs. Didn't see a Smn, but there was a Ninja spamming AoEs leaving dead bodies everywhere. Hyin-something or other.

They take decent enough damage and with enough people on it, dies relatively quickly. But need defense spells/songs/buffs/food to survive.

They're named after Relic and Artifact gear.

Someone in my LS made a great point, and I think it's true: these were designed to kill bots in zones. Cannot afk zones for points with these roaming around. They basically are the new Goblin Bounty Hunters
By Dodik on 2025-09-10 10:48:45
There is also an implication it will take two weeks to even unlock augments. Sunday JP midnight needs to pass to get first matter from chest to get the gear.

Then need another matter to unlock augments and more to RP? And it's not guaranteed after the first time so a minimum of two weeks, more if you don't get a matter the second time.

If I'm understanding the patch notes, the system seems to work like this.
The server kills and nm in either temenos or apollyon.
People go through temenos or apollyon and pop the chest. The very first time you do this, you get 1 guaranteed alabaster or murky matter depending on the zone, per character.
After that, you'll merely have a chance to get one dependent on how many nms your server has killed in each respective zone the previous week.
You need one alabaster matter to trade in for the respective earring or mantle each and one murky matter for the ring and mantle each.
You then need one more of the right respective matter for each to start the augment process on each one.
After that, you need temenos or apollyon units to get rp. But if I'm reading the notes correctly, for each stage of the rp process, you'll need to unlock it with the proper matter.
So, if each accessory were to hypothetically cap at 15 for the augments, you would need 1 matter to get the accessory, 1 to start augmenting, and 14 more matters to complete it, along with however many units the rp process takes.

Did people not understand or are there really that many who would step up to be a defense attorney in this case? It shouldn't surprise me given the tolerance for violating in this community, but damn....
By Brimstone on 2025-09-10 10:18:04
I think the deathknell is the loss of exemplar.

high chance of dying (with massive xp loss) + no personal reward for doing it = do it why?

Seems like removing the xp loss and giving players on the enmity list when dies a a unit bonus (1k?) fixes both issues.

Did you open a chest at the end of a run to see if maybe there was some kind of multiplier added to your Unit total?

Wut, where are the archduke items coming from?

Ya know, I'm happy they're adding more endgame shield. However, I wish they expanded the jobs that were on it. I appreciate that all of these job have native shield skill except SAM, but I don't expect to see them using this thing any time soon. I would have loved to see BRD or GEO on it.

So I don't actually have to participate in killing the NMs and still get the benefit next week? Just do regular objective next week and collect my EBT card from the chest?

Apparently not, which is kind of a weird system, but I guess they didn't want players missing out on the bonus simply because they couldn't make it out to an NM within that week.

Do the NMs drop an enormmous amount of points for the effort (like 5000+)? Because I can't see people running out to Temenos/Apollyon to participate (at least on larger servers) if there's kind of no benefit to doing so individually, and the chances someone else will kill it is already high.

Almace is my #1 for sure. Beautiful big sword with a hefty blade. Chant Du Cygne's Z-cut weaponskill animation was always satisfying. Loved the weapon so much I took it to 99 pre-Adoulin. While I've never been one for parsing, I did get a quiet satisfaction and do a silent fist-pump when I'd see someone share parses post-Voidwatch kills and see my name in the top 3 alongside the usual WAR/DRK/SAM contenders. I don't get to use it much these days sadly but it's still my favorite.

I don't think the point is that he was pirating or modding his Switches, he was selling modded consoles, the hardware to mod them, providing instructions to do so, and offering modification as a service, then loading pirated games onto customers consoles.

This wasn't a personal use/backup situation according to other articles, he was involved in sales and ran a business around it:

if you assume 15 min for 400 besieged points, an average 12.5 alex per purse, you're getting a whopping 66.66 alex an hour from participating in 4 besiegeds, never mind the context switching and unpredictability

i really don't think this is going to introduce much extra alex to the market, though i'm sure there are a few people who mindlessly acquire points and don't consider value proposition that will buy them

This is a good point. We have at least 1 more update to Besieged, I wonder if they'll add anything else when that happens.

“The MIG Devices, Mod Chips, Hacked Consoles, and Circumvention Services allow members of the public to create, distribute, and play pirated Nintendo games on a massive scale,” the ruling states. Daley denied any wrongdoing.

That was apparently in the ruling according to chanti's article. so that was the point Daley (his name seems to be spelled 2 different ways in the article) needed to argue, better than just "denying wrongdoing"

Not how it works. It’s legal to have backups of your software. He presumably was stupid enough to admit something that could be linked to piracy or his lack of representation meant the fact that it isn’t illegal was never brought up.
