I guess if the common interpretation of latte macchiatos is "not ladylike" then technically it would sort of have to make sense to state and have people understand what you're talking about. With the "people who actually know you clause" you're technically in the clear, but in this case I suppose it wouldn't be known?
I don't know what a latte macchiato is to be honest, so I can not exactly make a judgement call on it. I'll need to speak to my Starbucks Representative so I can more clearly understand what is going on here.

I suppose that it some cultures slamming a shot of espresso would be seen as less lady like than drinking a coffee drink.
Similar to drinking a shot of whisky vs a mixed drink.
of course if you worry that much about what other people think about your drink selections....
