Ajido-Marujido and maybe Ovjang are somewhat reliable for dispelling, some of the RDM can too but it's not high priority for their AI.

Its possible that each chest has a different ultra rare

ie:
brown = goldpiece / cats eye
gold = 10k byne / dense cluster
red = stripeshell / bayld crystal

but unless people who got these items come forth and mention which box it came from, theres no way to confirm anything.

It's definitely more useful, but not at all interesting. I find this very similar to the suggestion of allowing multiple sets of nyame armor. It would be really handy to have nyame for TP, WS, nuking, debuffing, etc. Especially with the DT and Meva. But it creates a lot fewer decisions.

It's like when your best DD piece is also the highest DT and Meva...well there's no reason to ever use anything else.

If the best pet DT pieces were also the best master DD pieces on PUP or BST, it would be useful and convenient, but also boring. Same with wyvern DT, or wyvern absorb in this case. If it's a good TP piece and also good for wyvern absorption, you aren't actively choosing to equip it to keep your pet alive, which makes the game less interesting and engaging IMO

This whole discussion spawned because of that and this idea is novel and niche. In a world where empy head had STP+12 and DT-12%, this discussion would never happen because it would be the default head piece.

Oh, the linking is a really good idea. Kill your original mob after getting a few links, and be completely hate free on the DRG.

I just wish SE would put stats like this on gear that's actually worth TP'ing in to begin with. Like the empy helm is great... as a WS piece. Or in rare cases, as an extreme acc piece. But anything you put wyvern survivability stats on needs to be something I'd TP in anyway. I mean, you can make a toggle and swap to a weaker TP set if you notice the wyvern getting slapped. But it'd be so, so, much more useful to just have it on something you'd wear anyway.

I can test it via super jump/link an aggro and let my wyvern take hits when I have time, i was just curious on it. I would make a rare toggle for when I really need my wyvern to heal up and Restoring Breath/Bond and Spirit Link is down. ~1/4 hits netting a wyvern heal is kind of a neat trick

Rhino Guard doesn't overwrite Distract III so they aren't bad if you have a RDM in your group.

I feel like I've either attempted to test this or something closely related in the past.. I can recall letting a bunch of chigoes hit my wyvern while wearing the mezail... but I can't recall anything else, nor can I find any documentation or bookmarked posts. Couldn't find anything on JP wiki either. If there's testing, it's probably in a random twitter post that I'll never find.

My poor memory aside, Good question! Not sure, and I don't know of any testing on it. My emicho feet are on a mule atm, and I'm just... still hanging around online after the free login period. rofl. If I resub after the update, I might test it.

The BGwiki Apex page lists the acc requirement to cap(at 95%) vs locus beetles as 1,294. So their actual evasion value would be 1254.

This is almost certainly the non-buffed evasion value, considering the comparatively small difference in the required value between the beetles and the other slightly lower/higher level mobs in the area.

With a 25% boost they'd be at 1567 evasion, with a required acc value of 1607 for 95% hit rate. Definitely wouldn't want to fight them without a fast and reliable dispel.

Technically, WoW is both eras. Classic retains all of the elements of old MMOs. Retail strips away the barriers and allows access to content for more casual players.

Nothing beats RDM and SCH for soloing hard content. Both can solo some incredibly high level NMs ranging from Ilvl 135 to Ilvl 150.
SCH can solo v15 Marmorkrebs if Aura is nice.

Outside of SCH + RDM being stupidly OP most jobs can work/solo a ton of content with trusts. Just healer trust, trust to cap magic haste, potentially Rolls and most jobs can be "decent" at soloing.

If you're still stuck in 75 cap mindset of no trusts for soloing, then go play RDM or SCH. Other than that, almost any job can work for the content if you just try. Currently PUP is attempting solo Schah, and RUN and PLD can solo Erinys. BST could solo Kouryu. The list goes on. Just get the correct trusts and almost any job can work... WHM can solo some Omen bosses for example.

What makes Wow "the new era"? Quest markers and the lack of airships and boat time sinks (the latter actually having content within)?

To the extent that prime weapon progress is required to complete TVR. There was no real expectation that a player would be able to solo a prime start to finish.

No, they were talking about Prime weapon, but I think they said that you will be able to progress solo, not to finish it solo.

There is difference between being able to enter Sortie solo to make progress on empyrean armor vs trying to solo a prime. They were very clearly talking about the former Eiryl.

Maybe there is some solo strategy for Aminon, that we havent figured out yet ;)
