I think the internet may have something to do with that
Absolutely. There are so many genres, sub-genres, self-produced acts, etc. out there that finding utter ***is really easy, and even finding stuff that's "good" but all sounds the same is easy.
Now I can go from listening to Kanye West to Frank Sinatra to Behemoth to Crystal Castles without having to pick anything physical up.
You can. But should you?
I mean, to be honest, Kanye is a bit of a douchebag
But I'm not going to lie I love that fact that someone so much like how Kanye is exists
I do like his stuff though, but as far as rap goes I do prefer Childish Gambino or Chance to Kanye West

How did your impressive sounding baking/cooking end up? My espelette pepper cookies with sweet pepper cream are so good... i ate like half of the amount i made lol.
I should industrialise some of my appetizers and get rich....

The weird thing is that Spath doesn't seem to remember playing with either of us.... but I remember him and my son playing back when Flionheart and Borealis were still around...before he joined PPE.
We were pretty unremarkable in every way though...our gear sucked and we had no idea what we were doing...but we had fun grinding out levels and stuff
.
PARKER Edit: thet're both filthy casuals In the back of my mind I'm sure I remember you to some extent. But honestly, the amount of partying/grinding I did back then... the only people who really ingrained in my mind were those that either ended up in my social shell or were a part of my dynamis groups.
I'm honestly terrible.

To be fair, there is actually a lot of good music coming out these days. I at least can name a few artists that have released good albums this year.
Then again you might consider those albums to be trash because humans do have varying tastes in music. A few of my favourite bands have just released or are in the process of releasing new albums!!
For your sake I hope it won't be one of those cases where a good band has a really shitty album
Luckily 2016 has been good to me there, I've liked most of what I've heard from artists I usually enjoy
Don't know what is slated for 2017 releases thoug To be fair, there is actually a lot of good music coming out these days. I at least can name a few artists that have released good albums this year.

There's plenty of good music coming out, I'm specifically talking about bands that haven't bee around for ~20+ years though.
Of bands that began recording this millennium there are very few I can think of that I enjoy heartily.
I think the internet may have something to do with that
I mean I have access to thousands upon thousands of songs, artists, albums, etc. all sitting at my computer chair without any physical media necessary (well relating to the musician, I still need my computer). I mean when I was a kid cassettes or CDs would be required, and I mean I listened to what I had or bought or what friends had or bought. It was probably like 10 artists we'd have listened to altogether or something. Now I can go from listening to Kanye West to Frank Sinatra to Behemoth to Crystal Castles without having to pick anything physical up.
*** 90% of the time recommended music on youtube is all ***I've never heard too, so I don't even need other people to recommend anything to me.
Guess I'm just saying that with all that music and all that variety at your fingertips I would say that it's easier to find something you don't like.

Bismarck.Josiahfk said: »Hmmm only albums I bought in the last year were probably the newer Marina and the diamonds cd and the Florence and the machine one that came out.
Most new music for me is just new artists on SoundCloud or YouTube
The Zao album I would have just streamed -- it's a legit metal album if that's your thing -- but I've got an acquaintance that happens to be the band's drummer and I wanted to own a physical copy.

with the ***music and ***artist of this current era, I have come to like and appreciate the backstreet boys and their songs Have you ever heard of Ella Vos or Oh Wonder?
There is some really great new talent out there.
I suddenly find myself asking myself "what band in the past year have I picked up*streamed a new album from that originated less than 10 years ago?"
I can't think of any.
*I purchased two(edit: 3. Forgot one. King Crimson, Red because they don't sell it digitally.) physical albums in the past calendar year. One was a Jeff Bridges album that I was drunk off my *** at a Jimmy Buffett concert when I bought, the other was the new Zao album.

Lets spice this selection for the presidential party up with some European (pre-brexit) delegates!
PARKER Edit: (^o^)b It's posts like these that make me wonder if one day we're going to actually find out PARKER is completely real and Nik really does have a young early 20-something year old that edits and posts things on his behalf. I actually thought it was this way initially, because I confused him with that one guy who went around FFXI threads posting how awesome it is to use the same account as dad and son.
Interestingly, I thought Parker was the dad!
