Pretty much across the board, the Null pieces are for FullAcc sets. This applies to mage spells, melee, and ranged attacks.

As usual this is extremely bad advice. Just in case anyone doesn't know this man.

YOU don't even know this man. What else do you think the null set is for? MEVA and Regain/Regen/Refresh? Sure.

There are absolutely exceptions. For example, I seldom use the head piece for anything other than the Regen/Regain effect.

I'd have bought a 5090 at £1800, maybe at £2000, but I'm not paying any more out of principle.

Don't then. 5090 is luxury item for rich people that can pay anything for the best, it's not a requirement to play games. You are not their target audience. You can play majority of games with lower settings with weaker GPU.

Seconded.

It's discretionary spending for a gamer, but it's a business expense and a write off to a professional. There really isn't any value to be found in a market where some of the consumers don't have to care about the cost. We can keep fooling ourselves with the pretty charts and graphs, but it's fallacy.

As I see different acc/neck/waist, can you share your rough avg/total for aminon. I still use some Chirich for SB as an example, anyway I’m interested

STR build since it increases attack and fstr which MND doesn't. While MND plays a part of the damage with the modifier, STR will be better.

ItemSet 375692

I like this. Swapped the Sherida for Leth. Earring +2 (more STR and double attack, but no STP), and the Epamin. RIng for the Ephramad's (STR and PDL +10, and Acc./Attk. +20).

Even WoW is worse than 14. You can buy gold with money and mounts cost a stupid amount.

FStr is part of the calculation too, which is additive in the same term as wsc, so it’s kind of like 70/55 mnd/str

Also, for aminon specifically I use crepuscular pebble

Crep Pebble works better for you than a Rank 30 Coiste Bodhar? I assume because of the PDL?

Ok meta might be using 5nm but it definitely wouldn't be out of choice, they just don't have the might to get capacity on 3nm. Noone right now will be designing and making chips for 3nm that aren't already far down the design pipeline. I struggle to believe Nvidia got the demand wrong. Everyone was trashing the 5070 and 5080 since specs were released long ago. Could have been stuck into quantities they ordered before this, maybe, but they are far under market demand for 5090. I'd have bought a 5090 at £1800, maybe at £2000, but I'm not paying any more out of principle.

XIV is the most heavily monetized mmorpg that exists
Huh, it seems like you've never seen Black Desert then.

Or Lost Ark.
Or Lineage.

FFXIV has a subscription, expansion fees and a cash shop.
By Dodik on 2025-04-20 05:24:14
Or any number of Russian made P2W games that offer zero progression outside the cash shop.

I never stop seeing things that makes me lose my faith in humanity.

Yesterday I saw a dog owner taking the dog for a walk.

She was near a cafeteria, with lots of people calmly eating. The cafeteria had the table in open air.

Then she just brought the dog and let it ***right close to the costumers.

Just imagine you eating then seeing a dog feces slowly falling right in front of you.

That brown kinda yellow thing. Texture like a toothpaste. Evenly distributed in 4 parts, each one far away something like 5 cm, forming something like a curve.

Yeah, if you felt bad reading this, imagine eating close to it.

Some people really just dont care about anyone else.

Server Transfer in Japan is JPY 1834 (USD 12.88 today) but is 18.00 in US. Wouldn’t be surprised if US price is close to the JPY number but maybe they’ll be nice? Otherwise they didn’t really think it through only announcing on the Japan wide, but that’s a can of worms best not discussed.

I got all 4 drops under 40 tries on VE with TH4.

Solo PUP w/ trusts. Have automaton hold the boss full-time while you pick off adds with trusts.

If it does translate to 12 USD that's worth it to me just to change hair color, Hume F 7B > 7A. I figured that it would be 20 bucks or so. This isn't bad.

Noone is making AI chips on 5nm now, that's absurd.

Here you go:

https://www.trendforce.com/news/2025/03/12/news-meta-reportedly-tests-in-house-ai-chip-on-tsmcs-5nm-with-mass-production-set-for-2026/

Quote:
Tech giants are ramping up in-house AI chip development to cut costs and reduce reliance on NVIDIA, and Meta is following suit. According to Reuters, Meta is testing its first in-house AI training chip, while another Commercial Times report suggests the chip will be built on TSMC’s 5nm process, with mass production set for 2026

Trains in rural Alabama are also more expensive than trains in downtown Tokyo too.

More customers means more people to split the cost & more profit to be made.
By Meeeeeep on 2025-04-19 22:13:07
*** hell it's more expensive than FFXIV
I know it's new and dev time went into it but come on
Pretty much everything about XI is more expensive than it's XIV counterpart

Clamshell is rarely used because it reduces the chips effective bandwidth in half and bandwidth is usually far more important to performance then raw capacity.

This is part of the reason why I wanted to see the head to head, specifically in instances where they're not spilling. I'm curious why 28G/s and not 32 tho? It makes my brain cell itch.

Machine translation but seems pretty decent. 1,650 yen is about 11.50 USD/10 EUR/8.70 GBP

At least you can say you saw them. None of those GPUs even exist on this side of the pond unless they're from resellers. What does the retailer say when you ask them if it comes with a reach around?

It all takes the same Silcon... So if your market for Data Center Cards is ENORMOUSLY LARGER THAN ANY VERSION OF CONSUMER CARD it doesn't make any business sense NOT to prioritize that. TSMC has a limited number of wafers they can produce in a cycle; a wafer cycle is generally around 14-20 weeks, they're not just gonna yeet that ***carelessly lol. I've been in these places they don't mess around (Micron VA and Intel Ronler Acres Oregon), Nvidia most certainly took like 90% of their stock and said "A100 and H100 Pile" and left the rest for Consumer Cards.

K123 said: »
They very clearly made too many 5070+5080 and not enough 5090s. There is no legitimate reason for this unless they really did *** up their own understanding of the GPU market

This is certainly possible but also not likely because of the Limited Availability of Wafers vs Die Sizes:

The NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPU die size is significantly larger than the RTX 5070 GPU die size. The RTX 5090's GB202 GPU has a die size of 750mm² (or 761mm² according to another source), while the RTX 5070's GB205 GPU has a die size of 263mm². The RTX 5090 also features a higher number of transistors (92.2 billion) compared to the RTX 5070 (31.0 billion)

So Nvidia very likely banking on selling Quantity instead of Quality to make their money. I wholeheartedly believe they severely underestimated the demand for the 5090 and the consumer's ability to put money aside to purchase them, but it doesn't look like any sort of scheme - at least not to me. Just plain cash grab, man. I don't know how else to say it.

The founders edition cards are selling over MSRP

I honestly didn't even know founder's edition was a thing for 5060s, but I doubt this would have any impact on the taxes, tariffs and other fees associated with your region. Again, I'm assuming this is tacked on the the MSRP so that's about as 'real' as you're going to get.

edit*
No founder's card for 5060 ti, guess you were still talking about 5090.
