Not home for a few days but I can get you equipsets and spell sets when I get home.
We tried to push as hard as we could. Sometimes we'd be stuck at 75% because of perfect dodge, sometimes it would be 60%. You can decide which is more consistent or reliable.

NIN gets phenomenal use out of Malignance set. It's practically ready as-is and can be used as the default TP set for most content. You use all of the stats on malignance as NIN: Ranged Accuracy for Daken, Magic Accuracy (for Ninjutsu enfeebles), Accuracy, and Store TP.
Sadly, Mpaca is missing vital ranged accuracy stats for NIN, making it a more high-end/defensive hybrid set. Adhemar/+1 is a defensive liability, Kendatsuba/+1 garb set is lacking -DT% (though it's great for NIN otherwise); thus, Malignance is the best choice for any NIN build that doesn't need any further customization, if you don't want to go to that extent. And even though Malignance set lacks Attack, since NIN's style of DPS is more 'speed-to-TP' similar to RDM with Temper II, it doesn't feel the significant loss of attack during TP phase because it makes up for it with WS frequency.
I'd rate Malignance set as superb on NIN, right after RDM. Other jobs, as mentioned, benefit from it a lot, but I think those two jobs get more out of the full 5 pieces than others might. I think it's unfair that Sakpata is -DT when Gleti and Mpaca only got PDT. They all should have been DT or PDT. |

If you are trying to pick winners and losers, essentially trying to count cards and cheat the market, you are going to lose. The issue here isn't the models but the information asymmetry. SEC reporting regulations are such that you won't receive the required information before it's effect hits the market. The model can't predict because it simply doesn't have the required information, and never will.
I did a little of that, but not much. I've examined a number of different things, the best I can say is i'm doing more akin to what Newton did when he developed calculus. I'm trying predict the price say 5 minutes into the future, time is my main enemy. My hit rate is pretty good, but it doesn't rely on any SEC info, just real time data. |

A top tier chip manufacturer like TSMC does have pretty strong advantage over their competitors due to technology, but the disadvantage of being a service provider still exists: Their customers still has a chance to choose someone else.

The gorilla in the china shop is cost, its often going to trump most other considerations unless there's some absolute rule that something is only manufacturable from 1 source. In fact many companies want to multisource their products, as to not have a single event (natural disaster, power outage, geo-political tensions) disrupt their entire supply chain. So there is some drive to multisource things.
About 10-15 years ago I was told the burden rate for hiring someone in the US was about 4x that of hiring someone (engineering role in this case) in India. Which means they could hire a headcount in India for less than they can even pay just the social security portion of the US person (let alone their salary, benefits, other taxes). These tariffs are really a drop in the bucket, although they do impact decisions, its still a smaller portion compared to other factors driving the actual cost. (not to mention environmental regulations etc...) and even if you can wave a magic wand with all that stuff it still takes multiple years and billions of dollars to get a new fab online. While there are some efforts afoot, most of them will actually exasperate the problem because our politicians are abject morons. |

The average cost of power in the US is around 17 cents per kWh, in the UK it's around 35 cents per kWh. Cause the politicians are insufferable shitters, a huge % of that is tax / green levies.
So whatever you pay, you would pay around double if you were the uk.

For Bumba25. I think I read somewhere its best to just take KI1 to 75% and wipe, letting you apply a full Kaustra without an Aura on KI2. Does that sounds right?
All the written strats were early kills where KI1 just pushed as hard as possible.
Also does anyone have BLU spell/gear sets I can reference? You can just stop at 75% so you don't have to risk the aura or you can go hard and push and hope for better luck. Unless you can push nearly to 40% first ki you will still need a WC Reset. |

THF and BLU aren't really taken to content that matters, and DNC remains disengaged on Animon. The other bosses melt in 30-45s with PLD GEO COR BRD RDM DNC set up and with buffs out the *** you can TP in a heavily defensive set that's true.
Context always matters though. Someone repeatedly making threads asking such basic questions probably isn't looking to optimise their 9 boss runs or low man Dyna d, etc. Blu isn't weak used in multiple ody fights (kalunga bumba mboze, multi ki ongo) and is insanely powerful in places like Dyna D. |

The main appeal was the 4000 and 6000 Exemplar Points, you could spam it over and over. |

You need to divide Physical BPs in two groups.
1) Physical BPs with replicating FTP
2) All other Physical BPs
For the first group, Glyphic Doublet +3 (and any gear with Pet Multiattack, really) is very very good. Wether or not it's better than Convoker+3 depends on the rest of your gear but most of the time, yes, it will.
For the second group, nay, Convoker all the way. Granted there's not a lot of very relevant BPs in this group, you won't really use them often, if at all. have an example BP of the 2 categories? |

FWIW, it's undeniable that TH increases drops in Incursion, which has an identical drop model [the server decides what you get, then every person has it distributed to them]. Wouldn't say it's too much of a stretch to think that TH works in Sortie, but it hasn't been proven to my knowledge. I agree it works in incursion, entirely no doubt about that. Granted we're probably all over our requirements of every item except the final one then I guess it doesn't matter much either. The only way it could matter then is if taking a THF to Aminon HQ and likely doing more runs still results in faster to get to 5 drops. |

I love how we're a hivemind like the borg now because you need a boogeyman because arguing on the merits is too hard.
My allegiance falls squarely on reality, which unfortunately for you isn't so cookie cutter that my opinions on everything fall into a neat box for you to write Barnum statements about.
The meta is what it is for a reason. It's generally the easiest, safest, best choice.
Fortunately, most ffxi content isn't all that hard, so with skilled well-geared players, you can go off-meta and still get wins no problem. It's still sub-optimal, but no big deal. |

More DT in a single piece? Absolutely.
More eva? There's a couple of exceptions but in general: no.
More specific stats? Depends from piece to piece but in general, yes.
Malignance Tights also are quite unique since they use the old model of 9% haste in the legs slot, whereas most recent gear use the ~6% haste model, so it can be extremely useful to cap gear haste without relying on the cape/belt slots (granted there are other rare options like 10% Haste TVR ring, some jobs get 5% Haste ammo, then there's 2% Haste on Gleti's Knife too). |

the malignance set is also a great starting point for any kind of evasion build. so any of those jobs, looking for an evasion/dt set, this should be your starting point. thief and I believe dancer get better options in their empy, but I don't know about other jobs.
