Noone said out DD, it's just what people will do.

I mean people who feel the lack of camps for piercing DRG DNC THF, ranged cor Rng, MNK and mages in general will for sure go on those jobs, just because they miss it. We also don't know how it will work. Upgrade points might be job specific, so you will need to farm them playing the right jobs.

Carbuncle.Nynja said: »
He's implying that people have let the crossed off jobs fall to the wayside because they're no longer meta.
People really overrate the meaning of meta. Only because pugs are using mostly war in one event, doesn't mean none is playing those other jobs. THF is still highly used for solo farm, DNC is used for several endgame fights including being the required job for the most optimized farm of the most farmed endgame event. DRG is still highly used job for many fights, including few v25 and segments. Maybe less in pugs. Poeple also always use MNK when blunt damage is relevant and using slashing damage to replace ranged damage against ranged vulnerable target, doesn't make sense, so I will leave that as self explanatory.
No ones saying Loxo WAR > MNK
Just saying some people people put their MNK stuff away, on storage slips or tucked away in storage, or even on mules, and they might eat the minor DPS loss (we have no idea what Nimbus will actually be) if it means not needing to *** their inventory up.

Obviously SMN because AF/Relic will have BP timer XIX -20 and SMN will be able to BP all the time

What's gonna be best on ghosts and corse? MNK SAM or WAR?

Just logged in to see that maintenance is happening tomorrow night. 10pm PST.

Even though login points don't go live until Wednesday.

I've never seen a disparity like that. Usually login points go live the morning after the update.

That also explains the monthly campaign starting on Wednesday, though. Usually there is a day delay between the update and the campaign turning on.

Weird.

Just two months ago the update happened now than a whole week before the login campaign.

They should have added job points to this too if people are not yet mastered, with a lot of new players/returnees it's a sad oversight.

Its possible that each chest has a different ultra rare

ie:
brown = goldpiece / cats eye
gold = 10k byne / dense cluster
red = stripeshell / bayld crystal

but unless people who got these items come forth and mention which box it came from, theres no way to confirm anything.

I got my 10k byne from gold.

I started playing FF11 2 weeks ago and tried this addon. I don't think I can play FF11 without it anymore I'm a former FF14 player, and the UI/UX of FF11 kept me from playing it for years. The new update looks great. Thank you, Keylesta
Oh man, such high praise, thank you so much ^^

even XIV is like this, the only difference is the 30-40+ year olds that play it prefer casual games over hardcore grinders
XIV has content for hard core grinders. I think 10 - 15% of the players are really into it.

Its mostly from people who quit. They just dont like when others are still enjoying something they left behind.
I quit when XI evolved into something other than the game I knew. I am happy that people still play it, that its still getting new content, and people still find it fun.

Helps keep the nostalgia alive.

I think dungeon soup is that story where the guys eat the enemies defeated while vemturing a dungeon?

I remember watching a video about this could elude cannibalism. The yoituber normally do his highlights as shocking, but that made me not interested in the story.

So Wolverine, but the Wolverine with bones covered with adamantium. I still remember the story where he was stripped from it by Magneto, but probably the adamantium was removed to avoid making him too op.

I can't tell you how many times I have joined a random Sheol C PUG from some ultrascrub who thinks he understands the game, and scoffs at people who don't meet his standards. "Please come WAR and use Savage Blade". "SVCC on first floor please". "Pull 2-3 groups of mobs please tank". Then I check and I have a goddamn 3-min haste from his WHM because he's invested zero effort into an enhancing duration build. Or I hear "hey can you stop blinking?" because the guy literally doesn't know what <stpt> is. The same players demanding top gear/MLs from others are in fact, absolutely terrible players themselves, and I have not seen an exception to this yet.

I respect your opinion and I agree with the virtue of your argument. I think you're right that there are ultra-scrubs who flash the best gear and don't fully understand some of the most important mechanics of their jobs, why some macro pieces are a must-have, or simply just the order of operations in some key situations. There will always be a smooth-brained try-hard. This is a given.

However, I think it is much, more common to see people pass off a mule as a fully-fledged character, especially in PUG shouts. In the past, I got the sense that players are skipping Omen and Dyna-D and going straight to Odyssey, even if just to farm segments for a later date. Omen cards are now reduced but KIs remain the same. Dyna-D offers a 20% return on time for a second entry. However, Odyssey still has a true daily, without the ability to store KIs.

So, it seems like the opportunity-cost and reward for entry versus time is driving players to Odyssey. It only makes sense. Maybe Limbus and +4 gear will provide an stop-gap? I guess we shall see soon....

While this no doubt plays a smaller role, the FFXIV crossover isn't insignificant. I've made a couple YT video guides for FFXI, and since the crossover started, the viewership demographic has skewed towards younger age brackets.

Granted, my viewership is a terrible sample size, but I don't think it's a coincidence.

It's a very flawed metric no matter how you look at it, lot of multiboxers tend to keep their gil on main character and not bother with AH on others. Probably a few hundred multibox chars that have never lapsed sub but don't currently have an active transaction.

On the other hand, renames count twice. A content ID can count twice if you delete character and remake it. Banned characters don't get purged, so if a farm method eats a ban roughly every month then they count as 3 characters even though it was 3 consecutive rather than contiguous.

Either way, it's considerably higher than the prior free logins. It's obviously because of the weapons. I would assume many are legitimate players rather than statistical noise. Whether those players stay remains to be seen.

Recently i found a life trick that is quite obvious, but I hadnt thought before.

Instead walking 30 minutes to go to gym (and another 30 to come back), i could simply run and reduce the time to 10 minutes, and also cutting down my aerobics in 20 minutes, with a net gain in time of 1h.

When youre old, gaining one extra hour (maybe 4h weekly) is game changing.

Obviously this doesnt apply to you filthy nerds, that drive to get to the gym just across the street to so stationary bike…

do free log in campaigns really incentivize bringing back mulee?

They incentivize addicts to log in for 5 days, make one transaction, and then count on the numbers for 3 months. Not so much mules.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know transactions counted towards the numbers for 3 months.

There's going to be camps for MNKs WARs using club, camps for THF DRG DNC WAR and SAM using polearm, and camps for mages to nuke SAM and NIN using hyrid WS, and even camps where you can ranged attack use savage blade with tp bonus gun/bow.

I'm so excited.
