I don't think Caith Sith, Alexander and Odin need it as much, granted I wouldn't complain if they released it for them as well.

For Lilith it was problematic because of the huge loot pool, the difficulty of the fight and how incredibly useful for a wide set of jobs is the loot.

For Shinryu it's a different matter, the stupid nonsensical drop rate makes it bad, and it also costs 30 merits. Wouldn't be that bad if the drop rate was, while low, at least reasonable.
The gear inside is very useful but I'm not sure I would put it on par with Malignance.
By Classikmage on 2025-09-25 04:59:54
Maybe they are using Lilith as a testing ground. And if it works to their expectations they will extend the system to all HTMB’s in the future?
By Pantafernando on 2025-09-25 04:55:02
This made me curioud indeed.

At this point, I hear more people complaining about Shinryu drop rate than Lilith.

Current method is direct drops from mobs. The other types of acquisition would be from an end chest, a direct drop to personal loot pool or a point system.

I would bet a point system?

Yes, they said on the livestream they want to make it easier for players to get this gear now. They want them to move onto getting other stuff, however imo that stuff is too hard for casuals and they are not taking that into account.
By Eiryl on 2025-09-25 04:53:37
There's a standing 2+ year grind for sortie and a 2+ year grind for limbus. They'll survive letting malig go.
By Classikmage on 2025-09-25 04:51:05
Are they raising the drop rate on Mailgnance hear lol?
By ilugmat on 2025-09-25 04:50:13
I worry about them making it easier to get htbf gear.

I always remember someone in my HHMLS that attended every camp for years, finally got his heca pants and stopped turning up. Then quit in a month, cause that was the only thing he had left he wanted to get.

If they are going to allow casual players to cap on this stuff easier they need add things for them to progress onto, like adding augments to htbf gear or adding hq sets etc

Well... not like GEO is not "useable" without Idris!
But I agree I'm happy with this change, long due.

Now if only they could reach an intellegible "standard" for the nerf.
We have 3 types of nerf (90%, 75%, 50% iir?) and no way to tell where one of those is active, and where there's none.

This makes no sense at all, I'm surprised users haven't rioted already considering how much time this thing has been going on.
By Draylo on 2025-09-25 03:28:50
Hope thats true, those were the worst thing ever for a newer character. 6 month minimum is too much to make a job useable.
By Akumasama on 2025-09-25 03:14:08
So did we reach a consensus on the Archduke stuff?
Not available in game for now?

The patch notes were pretty clear its first time bonus only.
That's how I read it myself the first time around.

Granted, if you ask me, having the first chest guaranteed and the rest with the current drop rate (further influenced by previous week NMs killed) doesn't sound... broken?
It would still be a several months grind for each item, it would be perfectly in synergy with their approach of stimulating people to do weekly climbs without making the grind too fast.

Honestly yeah, they should change it to make so the first each week is guaranteed. It probably wouldn't change THAT much in the long run, but psychologically it would be an incredibly efficient carrot on a stick.

Felgar's list is very helpful. I have been debating swapping out a piece or two of my Nyame for a different augment path, but I haven't been fortunate enough to get WSD on the pieces I want to replace Nyame.

It was alright, finale was a let down though.

Seems like simply commenting "Nice OF ad" on a scantily clad thirsty "cosplay" post, of someone with a bio full of OF links, is enough to get you banned these days.

I said it was nice. Simps are so touchy.

I actually enjoyed it, felt like movie quality

The RP/Units grind alone takes 13 weeks to cap 1 piece of gear when limited to 50k/week. Currently this also requires you to grind random trash in Temenos to reach the 50k limit if your server doesn't get any ??? to spawn.
You would need about a 45% Matter drop rate if you wanted to finish Matters at around the same time you finished the Units grind. This is ignoring the possibility you'll be hitting your maximum Units cap before getting any Matters to spend Units on gear when augs only take <5k at early ranks. Putting Matters aside, it would take about half a year if you wanted to cap out both pieces from doing 5 Temenos and 5 Apollyon climbs every single week in addition to some free killing to get your last ~6k to hit your 50k cap.
I don't think making the Matter a 100% drop is that outlandish. This content would still last a while just due to the Units grind. Just have killing the NMs provide some other kind of reward.

By the time the next season rolls around in 2028 I won't even be interested.
By Asura.Eiryl on 2025-09-24 19:49:20
Meh. I never like when they cancel something I bothered to watch even if it's only a big meh.

It's still a story I took mild interest in and would see it through.
By . on 2025-09-24 19:46:27
I honestly would be fine with cancellation.
By . on 2025-09-24 19:42:11
Oh wow Alien Earth finale was trash. 1/10 would not watch again.

On a side note, the lawyer analyzed my case (to purchase the house).

And the lawyer said the exact thing I were the most afraid of since the beginning: the sellers werent honest with me.

From early I waa afraid of being tricked. Those guys already stole 4 months of my life.

All that left is to propose one last chance to make things right, or an attempt to annul our contract friendly, or the worst case, annuling the contract through justice.

So, Ive reach the point where is all or minus all.

I watched a video analysing one of the most famous Batman story: Arkham Asylum.

Looking as a whole, this story is deep.

One aspect that made me favor mangas over comics is how comics seemed like an endless story: episodic, goals that dont exist, only an attempt to mantain a routine.

But as a standalone, some arcs/stories surely would the on par with any good movie.

It's just industry best practices. Data integrity is one of the top priorities you keep in mind when you're working with databases. Designing a clean UI and eliminating as many variables as possible where the end user to break a program are always important considerations. This addon may be a simple program, but those concepts still apply.

If you allow players the freedom to report NMs and expect them to be the ones adding the data to your database then you're relying on the honor system, and when you're working with data you never want to do that. While the majority of players would be honest with the tool, all it takes is one person to false-report a bunch of NM sightings to fill up the database with bad and inaccurate information. "Report dancer NM in temenos east floor 3, report blue mage NM in temenos west floor 2, report Apollyin sighting of warrior in NE floor 4"... when none of those nms are actually there and you're just going to send players on a wild goose chase hunting for something that doesn't exist. Some people get a kick out of making others lives difficult and playing pranks like that. So automating the process so the tool is capable of handling all the data collection by itself and then distributing it so it runs passively is actually critical if you want the info it collects to be reliable.
I know no ones replied to this part, but just incase someone is thinking about chiming in with "no one will do that", I just want to remind everyone that SE had to change DI spike flail to be a zone yeeting because there were people intentionally flailing Mireu.

Personally, I don't want any dysfunctional zoomer tourists in FFXI. Imagine Asura but it's all servers. I'd rather the game shut down than cede ground to these weird furry weebs.

Ummmmmmm there are dysfunctional GenX/Millenial F2P Maple Story *** out there too.

*GASP* How dare you bash Maplestory!

Yes today it is a P2W cash fest. But OG was amazing!

Would be nice to have transactions count for the same period as active chars, so it could serve as a measure of activity. Lifetime transactions isn't very interesting as a statistic.
