I was looking at trade ins at "new car dealerships" trying to avoid the savage salvage...
they give these dupes nothing on the trade in and then they give them an oil change to try to cover up the gritty burned oil smell and then run them through the car wash and slap a sticker on them.

He's helping me prep this year's April Fool's thingamajig.
yeah? how did that go? I was busy looking at junk cars for my youngest son.
why does everyone drive their cars like they stole them and then run them into the ground until the head gasket blows? two cars in a row saturday blew more white smoke than fukushima daiichi...
salesman was all "yeah all cars do that" and I laughed so loud at him for so long that he got mad.
one car even had the telltale iridescent puddle under the exhaust pipe. /smells it
smells like antifreeze and the coolant level is low and I was pointing all these things out to my son "this is how you tell if this and that and the other thing"
salesman was all frowny face because other people were stopping to watch me pick apart all their cars like it was a clinic.
well tough *** ***. quit trying to sell cars with cracked blocks... you *** ***...
I just need a beater for son to get back and forth to work/school
I don't care what it looks like on the outside as long as it safe, runs ok and I don't have to sink a bunch of money into it.
but the only used cars they put on the lots these days look just nice enough on the outside to rope in some sucker and probably only run long enough to drive off the lot.
