Maybe when they release +5 they might add another 5% duration but I'm not counting on it.
Doubt 5%, maybe 2%.

We can't ever have songs hit 15mins or it ruins Miracle Cheer

An extra 5% wont put them at 15mins.

Would help if I read the fine print lol

Fortunately, the only regular Elementals currently present in Limbus are pets, which we can just ignore. But if they add any as regular mobs without adjusting the physical SDT value.. that's gonna be annoying.

Interesting little tidbit.

Banish's SDT reduction vs undead appears to also extend to the DT that all Limbus mobs have. Banish II with +30 banish effect(which would cap the effect vs non-NMs) appears to be completely removing the damage reduction. And not just the regular undead related resistance.

I will note, for anyone who is not aware, that the special defense reduction effect on Banish can be resisted. And this was getting resisted a lot when cast by a GEO/WHM. 220 divine skill, +223 MND, and +499 macc. WHM main wouldn't have any issues, I'd think, but subbed divine skill is quite a nerf. And the effect seems to be inaccurate to begin with.

Still, pretty fun to be able to bypass the DT effect at all. If only on Undead mobs.

I noticed Tomahawk does the same thing, but for only one monster. I believe the new limbus mobs have +50 SDT to all types/elements which stacks with any preexisting +SDT. Elementals for example have 100% SDT to all physical damage.

Do they stack with Ochain? It would be kind of funny if they didn't.

Restoring MP on shield block makes vibe-sense, but when shield blocks result in single digit damage (a lot of the time), zee booties, zey do nahtheeng. They should have made it 1MP per block or something.
So, not surprisingly, the feet do stack with Ochain, and additively into the same term.

The interesting thing though is that while looking at some max converts dmg to MP hits, I noticed I was getting 1 MP less than expected sometimes.

As an example, with 63% converts dmg to MP, on a 61 dmg hit, I got 37 MP.

61*0.63=38.43 floored to 38.

Should have got 38, but I got 37. However, if you factor Block converts and regular converts separately, then add the results together it works out.

Block convert:
Ochain(99):35%
AF feet+3:10%
Total:45%

Regular convert:
Empy head+3: 8%
Rudianos cape: 5%
Ethereal earring: 3%
Flume belt+1:2%
Total: 18%

61*0.45=27.45 floored to 27
61*0.18=10.98 floored to 10.
27+10=37. Which matches the observed MP recovery.

Honestly this is not great, cause it's making the flooring loss even worse.

I also went and got a few more samples just to be sure.
So, data.
All samples matched the separate term method.

TLDR: "Block converts dmg to MP", and "Converts dmg to MP" are different terms calculated separately.

Glad I did *** one of my chars over.

I can take the opportunity to see if having the temps matter before I go zone out to restore iit.

Hello. just some feedback. i noticed it says that /DNC has no enmity generation. it gets animated flourish though (if you have finishing moves)

Thanks for the heads-up! I’ve patched the DNC entry—Animated Flourish and the rest are now reflected in Strengths, Weaknesses, and Usage. It’s tidier… but yeah, still not breaking into the A-list of subs. ?

Anyone test out things like geo debuff penalties?
Did short testing seems no penalty. Eclipse malaise was same potency as bolster malaise which would likely mean full geo potency.

This isn't testing the nerf SE does to geomancy BTW.

Normally, they nerf ALL debuff geomany, including indi- and geo-, and they reduce both of them by the same amount. There's functionally no difference between a geo- and an indi- spell except BoG/EA.
Most monsters have 100 mdef and 50 is floored. There was little difference between indi malaise and Eclipse malaise. No malaise had huge effect on my spells and finally Bolster was same potency as eclipse malaise. This leads me to believe geo isn't nerfed because this is the exact behavior you see from mobs that don't resist geomancy.

Thats what I'm trying to confirm, did you get your VG after opening 3 boxes in each zone?
By maletaru on 2025-06-16 09:06:27
Seems like the requirement is having both the other graces, then opening a box.
By NynJa on 2025-06-16 09:03:08
Just out of curiosity, anyone remember when they got their Vital Grace KI?

I did my 5 rounds of Temenos before I stepped foot in Apollyon.
Teme 1 = Teme verification key
Teme 2 = Dilineated Grace
Teme 3/4/5 = nothing
Apy 1 = Apy verification key
Apy 2 = Angelic Grace
Apy 3 = Vital Grace

Was this just coincidence that I didnt get the Vital Grace KI on Teme 3/4/5, or is the condition for the Vital Grace to open Apy and Teme Boxes 3x teach?
By Rudra on 2025-06-16 08:56:34
Was there any similar mechanic in old limbus ?
I now wonder if other Monsters can have a weakness like that too
By Creaucent on 2025-06-16 08:44:54

By sahzi on 2025-06-16 08:31:22
Nitro to nitro has been possible for some time; seems the OP just hadn't realized it.

The reason I (we) did carn was for the wiggle room. Because in actual play when you need to buff 5 other idiots that won't sit still for that critical 30s you just need that extra time.
By NynJa on 2025-06-16 08:24:42
Its wild how this patch was chock full of lazy errors like this.
By Byrthnoth on 2025-06-16 07:50:31
I think there's kind of no reason to maximize MP returned at the cost of damage taken with these shoes. Cure IV restores ~1200 HP with Majesty and costs 88 MP. Without the discrete/rounding problem, that means you'd get 120 MP back when you take 1200 damage and be able to endlessly heal yourself (and any party members in range.)

So rounding up instead of down would have been another acceptable solution if they wanted to keep things in the HP <> MP exchange space.

At least until there are reasonable zone times.

Zone times are limited by the amount of time it takes for your inventory to load (first, and if you're 80/80 on everything, that's about ~50-55 seconds).
By Shichishito on 2025-06-16 06:58:24
Ya'll can be as fancy as you want, for me you'll always look like this:

At least until there are reasonable zone times.

I'd say as compensation the english client side from now on gets the effect as "Converts 10% of damage taken to MP" while the japanese client can stick to their "Converts 10% of Phys. dam. taken while blocking to MP" version?

If we had to index on using the feet to their full potential, what's the best way to maximize MP returned? Would this gear set have: maximum block rate (Shield Skill, Block chance, etc) and zero Damage Taken Minus? ...(or perhaps even Damage Taken Plus)?

(Also, yes, does it stake with Ochain?)

Something about coliseum it used to say, if I remember right.
By RadialArcana on 2025-06-16 04:06:25
I dunno if people remember this, but when Fujito took over he changed the texture of that sign and removed the word from it. It used to actually say something, but he removed it and now it's blank.
By RadialArcana on 2025-06-16 04:03:15
I want them to fix this next month and change it to 5 tiemes per kek.

I wonder why this happens, I'm guessing it has to be that they input the text in some archaic piece of software, or it's done by one of the JP developers on a Japanese machine?

Spellcheckers are everywhere now.
By Dodik on 2025-06-16 03:55:46
What's sex like?
By Akumasama on 2025-06-16 03:54:22
Surely you meant 5 tiems a dey.
I really need that much sex every dey to avoid going crazy!
By Dodik on 2025-06-16 03:53:08
When I go five tiems per wek my songs last 20sec longer if I wait 30sec before I cast them.
By Kaffy on 2025-06-16 03:29:46
simply because it was easier not to have to bother, probably.
By Felgarr on 2025-06-16 03:18:40
Hilarious observation: I took my /lockstyle screenshot in front of a door that has a sign on it. My character does not actually have a blue purse, men's satchel, etc etc, :)

Bst has it easy, just pop Sultry Patrice, let it aggro everything, and then take them down one by one.
That little thing is a tank.

I would love to try a BST/COR (maybe 1 SMN party) in Limbus.

Is anything charmable by chance, even if just for silly shennanigans?

/dnc is a must for me, spectral jig is too good.
Some said there are charmable mobs in Temenos, but i havent seen a single one, they're all beastmen basically.
In Apollyon you can use charm.

Yes, I prefer /DNC but ....I actually meant playing as a party of BST+COR+SMN (and PUP) using charmed pets, not BST99/COR59, lol.
